Colin Jost headlined the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, but let's not forget, he is also Scarlett Johansson’s husband.

The 41-year-old comedian emceed the event on Saturday, April 27, and made sure to mention his 39-year-old wife several times during his monologue.

Jost joked that he is used to being the Second Gentleman, just like Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris. As you can see from all the comments about my wife.

Harris, who is 59 years old, holds the title of the first female Vice President of the United States. Her spouse, Doug Emhoff, is referred to as the "Second Gentleman." In the past, the wife of a male Vice President was known as the "Second Lady," following the position of the First Lady as the president's significant other.

Jost acknowledges his good fortune in being married to Johansson. He expressed his gratitude to his wife for putting up with his jokes and for graciously agreeing to meet with each person in the room after the ceremony.

Jost and Johansson attended the WHCD together, walking the red carpet side by side. The Black Widow actress looked gorgeous in a white Armani Privé gown, while Jost chose to wear a black tuxedo.

Since 2020, Jost and Johansson have been married. Their relationship has been a source of inspiration for parodies and references on SNL.

"During a December 2023 episode of SNL’s “Weekend Update,” Jost joked about New York state allowing movie theaters to serve alcohol, making it easier for him to enjoy his wife’s indie films. Reading a joke from Michael Che about her role in The Avengers, Jost playfully teased, “I’m kidding, honey. I love all of your movies. And If you asked me, you’re an even better Black Widow than Coretta Scott King.”

The SNL mention was part of Jost and Che’s annual holiday “joke swap,” where they write quips for each other to read live on air. This segment can be challenging for Johansson to watch on TV."

"I hardly ever watch [SNL] without feeling a bit of panic. It's not overwhelming, just a slight underwhelming panic because I always feel like something might go wrong at any moment," Johansson shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in July 2021. "But that's the thrill of SNL for both the cast and the audience, isn't it? It's completely live."

Who is considered the most powerful Hollywood couple of all time?

She said, "But when you truly care about it and not just find it enjoyable, it becomes something more meaningful."

Jost and Johansson have a son named Cosmo, born in 2021. Johansson also co-parents her daughter Rose with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
