Colin Jost is living the ultimate fantasy of skincare enthusiasts everywhere by enjoying unrestricted access to Scarlett Johansson's beauty brand, The Outset.
The actress, along with Kate Foster, co-founded the cosmetics company in March 2022. In a heartwarming video released on Tuesday, October 24, Johansson is seen pampering her comedian husband with a rejuvenating "spa-in-a-box" facial, utilizing various products from The Outset's skincare line.
Johansson, speaking to the camera, described the content as the ideal gift for either oneself or a loved one. Jost, inquisitively, questioned if it was the gift he would be receiving. Confirming that it was indeed his present for the upcoming holiday season, Johansson's response left Jost puzzled. Inquiring further, Jost asked if there were other gifts. Johansson replied with a simple statement, mentioning that they had travel-sized options. Johansson proceeded to initiate the treatment by commencing with the initial step, which involved relaxing.
“This is a limited-edition headband,” Johansson said of a cozy blue item before directing Jost to put it on.
"Does this whole situation contradict the way America perceives me, like a rugged cowboy type?" he inquired his wife. She promptly reassured him, "No, I believe it complements your image." Jost remained skeptical and proceeded to ask further inquiries, prompting Johansson to remark, "Just put your head through the hole!"
In the subsequent phase, Johansson utilized The Outset's Gentle Micellar Antioxidant Cleanser to cleanse Jost's face, before proceeding to step 3, where she followed up with the Exfoliating Caffeine Micro Polish. Throughout the procedure, the cameraman posed questions to Johansson and Jost about the holidays, one question being their perspective on what constitutes a good gift.
"I'll take over from here," Jost joked, insinuating that he excels at giving gifts since he purchased Johansson "four cars last year."
Following that, Johansson proceeded to apply The Outset's Purifying Blue Clay Mask onto Jost's skin while the couple reminisced about their cherished holiday memory.
Johansson recounted how they informed their daughter about the arrival of their son. They gave her a small ornament featuring a mother bear, father bear, and baby bear. The ornament had an arrow indicating the mother bear's stomach. Jost playfully mentioned that their daughter, Rose Dorothy, expressed disappointment upon learning that the new addition to the family was a human.

Johansson continued Jost's spa session by removing the clay mask, prompting Jost to amusingly comment further. "I'm primarily contemplating rejoining the comedy community, and I'm genuinely intrigued by my colleagues' responses [to my facial]."
Johansson questioned Jost about whether people would notice the plumpness and hydration of his skin, to which Jost confidently nodded. Many stand-up comedians often begin their routines by noting how plump and radiant someone's skin is.
Following this, Johansson proceeded to massage Jost's skin using the Ultra-Light Moisture Boosting Oil, which he described as a mildly torturous experience. She then moisturized his dermis with the Nourishing Squalene Daily Moisturizer.
While they chatted about their preferred Christmas films, they concluded the facial with the application of the Smoothing Vitamin C Eye Expression Line Cream.
"I personally adore Home Alone and Home Alone 2," Johansson shared, while Jost chimed in, "I lean towards being a fan of Home Alone 3. I'm curious about the cast. ... Although I haven't watched it yet, I've heard amazing things about it." (Johansson played the role of Molly Pruitt in the 1997 comedy.)
