Candace Cameron Bure reveals emotional reaction to John Stamos' memoir, confessing she was moved to tears while reading 'If You Would Have Told Me'

Candace Cameron Bure reveals that she was deeply moved by John Stamos' stories about the late Bob Saget in his recently released memoir, If You Would Have Told Me. In an exclusive interview with We, the 47-year-old actress shared that she listened to the audiobook narrated by Stamos and found it to be a truly captivating and heartfelt experience. She particularly appreciated the final chapter of the memoir, which focused on Stamos' relationship with Saget, as it provided a sense of closure and was incredibly poignant.

Cameron Bure and Stamos, both 60 years old, were co-stars with the late Saget on the television series Full House from 1987 to 1995. Sadly, Saget passed away in January 2022 at the age of 65 due to an accidental fall resulting in blunt head trauma.

Apart from the information on her deceased co-star, Cameron Bure expresses that she discovered numerous untold stories in Stamos' book, which she had never heard before.

“There was a plethora of knowledge that I possessed and it was simply exquisite,” she remarks. “It undeniably encapsulated John's core essence as he is an individual who wholeheartedly cherishes humanity and holds his loved ones in high esteem. And the memoir itself profoundly struck a chord.”

Cameron Bure declined to provide specific examples, but she revealed that it was the "things in the early days" that took her by surprise. She encouraged fans to read her book to experience it for themselves.

In addition to showing support for her former costar, Cameron Bure is involved in her own book project this holiday season. She is collaborating on the launch of the Generous Kids Book Club, a monthly subscription service that offers "fantastic" children's books and animated e-books. The club aims to promote important values such as giving, thoughtfulness, generosity, empathy, and compassion, as Cameron Bure explained.

Cameron Bure's passion for children's books stemmed from her own children. She has three kids - daughter Natasha, 25, and sons Lev, 23, and Maksim, 21 - with her husband Valeri Bure.

When asked about her involvement in the partnership, Cameron Bure expressed, "Reading to my kids, especially when they were younger, was my absolute favorite activity to do with them. I have a deep affection for books. They not only serve as a valuable tool for teaching important lessons, but they also provide insight into what your children are thinking and encourage meaningful conversations."

She remembered the joy of "reading in various voices" and turning reading into an enjoyable experience for her children. Through the Generous Family Kids Book Club, children will receive a book every month, accompanied by "a wide range of exciting goodies such as stickers, collector's cards, and thought-provoking discussion questions for the whole family to enjoy." Opening the package becomes an exciting and engaging moment.

Additionally, the characters within the books make regular appearances. Although each month highlights a different character, all of them are featured in every book.
