Brittany Cartwright is hoping for significant changes from her husband Jax Taylor before considering a reconciliation. She mentioned to TMZ on Friday, March 1, that she has been requesting certain actions from him for a while now without seeing any progress. Despite this, Cartwright remains hopeful, expressing her love for Jax and her desire for the best for herself and their son after being together for nine years.

"I am really focused on myself right now. If he makes some changes in his life, maybe we can work things out and get back together. But honestly, I'm not sure right now," she said.

Last month on her podcast "When Reality Hits," Cartwright shared that she and Taylor, who is 44, were going through a tough time in their marriage. This led her to take some space and move out of their home.

"This is really important for my mental well-being," she mentioned on Friday, clarifying that it is not a publicity stunt for their upcoming reality show The Valley. "One of the toughest things for me right now is the speculation that I am only doing this for the show, which is not true. When you have been in a constant battle with someone for so long, there is a limit to how much you can endure. I deserve better, and so does Cruz."

Cartwright and Taylor are both committed to establishing a positive coparenting relationship for the benefit of their 2-year-old son, Cruz.

I believe that moving out and giving myself space to figure out what I really want is the best decision for me at the moment.

Cartwright and Taylor, whose relationship was featured on Vanderpump Rules before they left the show in 2020, will be making a comeback on Bravo this month. Viewers can follow along on The Valley as they navigate parenthood and raise Cruz in the suburbs of California.

Cartwright expressed his belief that as the season progresses, people will begin to understand the reasons for their current situation. He emphasized the importance of co-parenting and maintaining their shared businesses, such as the podcast, bar, and show.

Additionally, Cartwright suggested that Taylor is not putting in much effort to salvage their relationship and mentioned that she has suggested seeking couple's counseling.

Taylor, on the other hand, has refuted claims that Cartwright is currently residing in a different house. He clarified, "We're actually living together in our home at the moment." In an interview with Page Six on Thursday, February 29, he described their relationship as "fresh and new." Taylor emphasized, "It's not about being mean or causing conflict. It's simply two individuals who have reached a 10-year milestone in their marriage. We're taking some time apart to reassess our situation, especially with our child in mind. Our main focus is doing what's best for our kid."

Cartwright and Taylor have been together since 2015. They wed in June 2019, nearly two years before welcoming Cruz.
