Britney Spears' lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, responded to reports of her being fined for driving without a license and proof of insurance in September. He stated that Britney always had her license and insurance, dismissing the violation as nothing more than a parking ticket.
Spears, 41, was reportedly cited by the California Highway Patrol in September for allegedly not carrying a valid license and failing to provide proof of insurance. These violations have resulted in a fine of $1,140, as reported by Page Six.
The news of Spears' supposed transgressions follows a wellness check conducted by the Ventura County sheriffs on the pop star during that same month. Authorities were alerted after a video of Spears dancing with knives circulated. However, Spears clarified to her fans that the knives were not real.
"I understand that my previous post may have startled some people, but I want to clarify that the knives used in my performance are actually props rented from Hand Prop Shop in LA," Spears wrote in a September Instagram post. She also included another video clip showcasing her performance with the props. "These knives are not real, so there is no need for concern or to involve the authorities. I was simply trying to pay homage to one of my favorite performers, Shakira, and recreate a performance that inspired me! Here's to all the fearless bad girls who push boundaries and take risks!"
