Blake Moynes, a former contestant on Bachelor Nation, recently shared his thoughts on his close friend Zac Clark spending time with Kaitlyn Bristowe.
During a podcast appearance on "Almost Famous" on Thursday, March 7, Moynes, 33, mentioned that he is aware that Zac and Kaitlyn have been hanging out. However, when he asked Zac about it, Zac made it awkward and avoided discussing it, stating that he prefers to keep things professional and not get involved in gossip.
Moynes had trouble finding the right words to talk about his friend Clark's relationship status. He mentioned that Clark, who is 40 years old, seems very casual about it and prefers to keep that part of his life private. Moynes admitted that talking about it with Clark can be awkward, so they usually avoid the topic.
Moynes also thought that Clark might be trying to protect him from getting involved in any relationship drama, which is why he doesn't share much information about it.
Moynes and Clark both appeared on The Bachelorette during Clare Crawley's season, which later became Tayshia Adams' journey to find love. By the end of the season in December 2020, Clark and Adams, who is 33 years old, were engaged. However, by November 2021, news broke that they had called off their engagement.
After their split, Clark maintained a low profile until December 2023 when he was seen getting cozy with Bristowe, who is 38, at her New Year's Eve party in Nashville. A video from the event showed the former Bachelorette star putting her arm around Clark's shoulders.
Clark and Bristowe were seen together in New York City on January 21, holding hands and hugging while dancing at a bar, as shown in a video shared on social media.
Accusations about the timeline of their relationship have been circulating in recent months. Bachelor fans have been spreading rumors that Bristowe ended her engagement with ex Jason Tartick for Clark. (Bristowe and Tartick announced their split in August 2023, and he addressed his ex's apparent new romance with a cryptic Instagram post on January 2.)
"Your words are hurtful and your shaming is painful," Bristowe expressed on Instagram on January 1, in response to the accusations. She emphasized, "The bullying has reached a new level. ... Your hateful behavior should have consequences. ... I did not commit a serious crime. I simply had a gathering with some close friends. The shame should be on YOU, not me."
Later, she directly addressed and debunked cheating rumors on a Bachelor fan account's Instagram post.
I want to address the rumors that have been going around. Let me make it clear that there was absolutely no cheating involved. I refuse to entertain these false accusations. I swear on my dog's life that nothing of the sort happened. So let's put this rumor to rest once and for all. Thank you! Wishing everyone a happy new year. The article exposes the complex dynamics between former Bachelor Nation contestants Blake Moynes, Zac Clark, and Kaitlyn Bristowe. Moynes's initial reluctance to discuss Clark's relationship with Bristowe highlights the sensitivity around the topic, particularly considering Clark's previous engagement to Tayshia Adams. Moynes's observation that Clark prefers to keep his personal life private suggests a desire to avoid unnecessary drama, possibly to protect his friend.
The ongoing rumors and accusations surrounding the timeline of Clark and Bristowe's relationship have sparked controversy among Bachelor fans. Bristowe's vehement denial of cheating and her appeal to end the bullying indicate the significant impact that these rumors have had on her. It is important to emphasize the harm caused by spreading unsubstantiated allegations, as they can damage reputations and cause emotional distress.
