Patrick Mahomes is determined to prioritize his family over his NFL career. In a recent interview with Time, the 28-year-old quarterback shared his desire to continue playing until he reaches the age of Tom Brady. However, he emphasized that his daughter, who would be 19 or 20 years old by then, is his top priority. Mahomes stated that if he feels that playing football is taking away from his family time, he will know that it is time to retire.

Mahomes, who has won three Super Bowls, recently led the Kansas City Chiefs to their second consecutive championship by defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas in February. Brady, on the other hand, played in the NFL for 23 seasons and won seven Super Bowls before retiring last year.

Patrick mentioned, "Tom has really shown everyone how difficult it is to achieve such success by taking such good care of his body. So, I need to start working on getting rid of this dad bod if I want to continue playing until I'm 45."

Family time is important for Patrick and Brittany, 28, despite their busy careers. In March, the couple celebrated Easter in traditional fashion.

Brittany posted a carousel of photos on Instagram. The pictures show her and her partner standing in front of a pool, dressed in blue and holding their children. Brittany also included a photo of the kids in blue checkered outfits.

She captioned the post with "Happy Easter."

The children took part in an Easter egg hunt, and Bronze found a golden egg near a flower pot.

Brittany cheered in a cute video, telling her son, "You found it! Great job!" She then encouraged him to put the egg in his basket.

Patrick and Brittany, who were high school sweethearts, welcomed Sterling in February 2021, six months after their engagement. They tied the knot in March 2022 and welcomed Bronze eight months later.

Since becoming a family of four, Patrick and Brittany have talked about how essential it is to spend quality time with their kids during the NFL offseason.

Brittany shared during the ESPYs in August 2023 that they enjoy spending time together as a family. Patrick also mentioned that having two kids at home makes it the real season for him.

In a previous appearance on Good Morning America in February 2023, Patrick talked about the different perspective he gained as a dad. He mentioned how he now enjoys every day more and tries to cherish the little moments as the years fly by.
