Bekah Martinez's newborn son Ernest is showing signs of being a quick learner, as the former Bachelor star revealed that he is already using a potty. "Elimination communication is wild," Martinez, 28, wrote in an Instagram Story on Thursday, November 30. "I've sat Ernest on a little potty about a dozen times after he wakes up, and every single time, he's peed immediately and usually poops too." This practice involves learning when a baby needs to go to the bathroom and getting them to the right spot, according to Healthline. Martinez noted that she had never really tried it with her other two kids.
After welcoming her third child, son Ernest, in September with fiancé Grayston Leonard, Martinez initially dismissed it as a coincidence. She shared with her followers, "I can't quite articulate it, but it's almost like he senses it - as soon as I undress him and place the little potty underneath, he immediately starts going."
The Bachelor Nation celebrity mentioned that she and Leonard successfully potty trained her other children when they were around 22 months old. The couple also have a 4-year-old daughter, Ruth, and a 3-year-old son, Franklin.
"Our aim is to have them out of diapers by age 2, but we're interested to see if Ernest will be out of diapers earlier if we continue with this approach," Martinez stated.

Martinez, 34, and Leonard made an announcement in April that they are expecting their third child together. "You only get so many chances to share pregnancy news on social media... why not have a bit of fun with it!" Martinez wrote alongside a claymation video featuring a cartoon version of herself taking a pregnancy test and sharing the positive results with Leonard.
Five months after, the couple joyously welcomed their son Ernest into the world. "Born on the morning of his daddy's birthday, September 28th ️," Martinez shared in an Instagram video in October, showing Ruth and Franklin reading a book to their newest family member.
Martinez has previously been candid about wanting to expand her and Leonard’s family.

“I would be fine with five or six [children],” she told We in August 2019. “Maybe just five.”
Martinez and Leonard began their relationship in July 2018, after Martinez appeared on Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season of The Bachelor. In February 2019, they had their daughter Ruth, and in June 2020, their son Franklin was born. After more than five years together, the couple announced their engagement in July 2022.
