Bachelor in Paradise star Kat Izzo is calling out double standards on the dating show.
"Here's a thought - when a girl dates multiple guys in Paradise, she's labeled a homie hopper," 27-year-old Kat expressed in a TikTok video on Thursday, November 30. "But when a guy does the same, he's just exploring his options? Let me know your thoughts."
Kat's journey on BiP has been a rollercoaster of emotions. After hitting it off with Brayden Bowers, she ended up breaking his heart by going on a date with contestant Tanner Courtad.
Wells Adams told us last month that he was disappointed in how she handled things with Brayden. He believed they were a strong couple before Tanner and Tyler Norris arrived. He was surprised she didn't discuss it with Brayden beforehand. He also felt bad when she dismissed Brayden's compliment. Kat's relationship status changed again when Tanner went on a date with Davia Bunch on her birthday without her approval. Angry about this, they broke up, and she pursued John Henry Spurlock despite his connection with Olivia Lewis.
In the show's November 9 episode, John Henry ultimately picked Kat over Olivia, offering her his rose. The couple has been going strong in the subsequent episodes, leaving fans curious about whether they will be engaged by the end of the season.
"I've found my person, like, I'm going to be engaged," Kat says in a voiceover in a promo for the season 9 finale. However, John Henry appears less certain, stating in the teaser, "My heart is telling me to get engaged, but my gut is telling me, 'Don't do it.'"

Kat has frequently utilized social media to defend herself, with her most recent instance being a TikTok video. She also addressed criticisms of her behavior on the show in a lengthy Instagram message earlier this month. In the since-deleted post from November 13, she wrote about the challenges of being open and vulnerable on reality TV and apologized if her actions hurt others. She emphasized that everyone has missteps and expressed that the unfiltered nature of reality TV is a reminder of the inevitability of making mistakes in life.

Kat continued to explain that participating in reality TV can have a negative impact on mental health, emphasizing the need for empathy and compassion. She urged viewers to see contestants not as heroes or villains, but as individuals navigating their own journeys. She encouraged embracing our common humanity and promoting personal growth, education, and empathy as we navigate our flaws.
