Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt have welcomed their second child together.
Wendt announced via Instagram on Sunday, October 8th, that he and his family of four celebrated a joyful Thanksgiving. Introducing their son, Nash Lochland Wendt, born on October 7th, the post was accompanied by numerous photos of the newborn. The elated father expressed that both Astrid and their baby boy were in excellent health and prepared to return home that day. Witnessing August, their older child, happily meet Nash and shower him with kisses proved to be their new favorite and precious moment in life.
The couple, who first met on the fifth season of Bachelor in Paradise in 2018, revealed their pregnancy in January, just a day before Wendt turned 39. “Becoming baby daddy twice over,” the Tampa native wrote, sharing a black and white picture of her husband holding a birthday cake on her Instagram Story. “We received positive test results, so we're celebrating @Kevin.c.wendt’s birthday a day in advance.”

The former reality stars are also parents to son August, who was born in November 2021.
Before becoming a mother, Loch openly shared the couple's fertility journey in conceiving both their children.
Just two weeks prior to announcing her second pregnancy, she opted to disclose a sonogram picture depicting their embryo transfer.
"Today marks transfer day, and while it's not a pregnancy announcement just yet, we are eagerly keeping our fingers crossed and holding our breath," she shared on Instagram. Alongside the heartfelt message, she posted a sonogram video and showcased various medications and instructions. Reflecting on her previous experience, she expressed that sharing this journey feels less daunting thanks to the amazing support from the community. Two years prior, she faced comparable challenges when revealing her pregnancy with Auggy.
“To all the couples trying to conceive, we empathize with your journey. We understand the difficulty of coming across such posts and feeling disheartened. We too faced challenges with fertility and natural conception, and it has been the most arduous experience we’ve ever encountered. We are excited to share more about our path to parenthood soon,” Loch expressed via Instagram in May 2021. “However, today we have some positive news to celebrate, and we invite you to join us in this joyous moment.”

Loch and Wendt welcomed their son in November of the same year. Wendt expressed his gratitude on Instagram, saying, "November 20th 2:02am @astridloch made my dreams come true. She is my absolute hero for the incredible strength she showed during the last two days in the hospital, as well as the past two years of working towards having our perfect little one join the @thewendtgang. I never knew a love like this was possible."
It is worth mentioning that Loch first appeared on season 21 of The Bachelor in 2017, while Wendt had previously been engaged on season 1 of Bachelorette Canada with Jasmine Lorimer. However, they broke up five months after the finale. Wendt later participated in Bachelor Winter Games, where he met Ashley Iaconetti.
The Bachelor spinoff, which aired in 2018, concluded its one-season run with the winning pair deciding to continue their relationship. However, Iaconetti and Wendt eventually ended their romance when the podcast host, known for "Almost Famous," rekindled her connection with her current husband, Jared Haibon.
Wendt, on the other hand, found himself meeting Loch during their time on Bachelor in Paradise in 2018. Despite their initial split before the season's end, the couple managed to reignite their love shortly afterwards.
"It was an extremely unconventional situation to meet someone, and surprisingly, the breakup turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It provided us with the opportunity to bring the TV show chapter to a close in Mexico, allowing us to step back and focus on ourselves. This gave us the chance to figure out our own path and determine what we truly desired," Loch revealed to E! News in August 2019, coincidentally also the month of their engagement.
Finally, the couple exchanged vows in October 2022.
