Leslie Fhima, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist ABC (3)
Expect a rollercoaster of emotions during the season finale of The Golden Bachelor as Gerry Turner faces the difficult decision of choosing between Leslie Fhima and Theresa Nist.
"We will witness Gerry's journey come to an end in Costa Rica. Both women and Gerry will join us as we all watch the finale together for the first time," Jesse Palmer shared in an exclusive interview on November 20th. "The Women Tell All will be a combination of a reunion and a post-finale discussion."
Jesse, 45, commented on Gerry’s tearful reunion with second runner-up Faith Martin.
"If that was any indication of what's to come, I believe this will be the most emotional AFR the franchise has ever seen," the host added. "I truly believe it."
In the promo for the Thursday, November 30, finale, Gerry, 72, can be heard telling Jesse that he hasn’t been this upset since his wife, Toni, died.

In Gerry's time of need, he opened up to Jesse, seeking someone to confide in and share his emotions. Jesse's only response in such situations is to offer reassurance that everything will eventually be worth it, and that an incredible woman awaits him on the other side. Jesse described the moment as intense, genuine, and raw, and one of the most intense experiences he's had since being involved in the franchise.
It's difficult to know who Gerry will choose in the end. He has confessed his love to both Leslie, 64, and Theresa, 70, making it a tough decision for him. According to Jesse, Gerry is an emotional person who is very present in the moment. He can act impulsively at times, but he knows what he wants. This season has brought a lot of new experiences and emotions for Gerry, and navigating this part of the journey has been challenging for him.
Jesse observed that Gerry's competitors are "an amazing group of women" and the lead's emotions are genuine.
"He developed feelings for multiple women simultaneously in various ways," the former Bachelor stated. "Saying goodbye during the season is by far the most challenging part. I believe this is true for most leads, but I think viewers will witness an especially emotional farewell in the finale that they have not yet seen. It's quite intense."
Prior to Gerry making his decision to propose, Leslie and Theresa will have the opportunity to meet his daughters, who he cherishes "more than anything in the world," according to Jesse.
"It's an interesting situation. Normally, it's the Bachelor or Bachelorette meeting their parents and receiving advice. But Gerry has adult daughters with their own families," Jesse explained. "He values their opinions, they know him better than anyone. And he relies on them for advice and support throughout the entire process. It was crucial for him to have them meet the two women and offer their feedback. Gerry was very grateful for their input."
Jesse expressed his thoughts on the future of the franchise to Us, stating that he’s in the same spot as Bachelor Nation. “I’m sort of on the edge of my seat just like everybody else is waiting to find out if [The Golden Bachelorette] is something that’s going to happen,” he told Us. “I really hope it is.”

He explained that there isn't just one standout candidate for a senior female lead. "What I find truly unique is that there are several women in Gerry's season who I believe would make exceptional Golden Bachelorettes," he stated. "I think many of them deserve the opportunity and would be fantastic. I would love to see a group of men in their 70s navigating the mansion and the complexities of the show. I think it would be amazing."
The Golden Bachelor finale and After the Final Rose airs on Thursday, November 30, at 8 p.m. ET.
