Marina Perera made the decision to quit the Golden Bachelor in order to provide for her family, despite receiving a rose from Gerry Turner on the first night. Fans immediately noticed the absence of Marina, a beloved educator from Los Angeles, during the show's second episode, which aired on October 5th. Speculation about her whereabouts spread across social media, but the Golden Bachelor released a deleted scene from the show to clarify the situation.
Host Jesse Palmer informed Gerry, 72, that one of the reasons for his visit was Marina. In a clip shared on the Golden Bachelor's social media platforms after Thursday's episode, Jesse stated that Marina had faced a family issue and was no longer present. However, she expressed her desire to talk to Gerry if he was willing. In a FaceTime conversation, Marina, 60, apologized for abruptly leaving the show.
I regret to inform you that as a single mother, I had to prioritize my family's well-being and address their immediate needs. Although I apologize for my departure, it was necessary for me to align my priorities accordingly.

Gerry was receptive to her explanation, telling Marina that he “fully” understood and supported her decision.
Gerry expressed his admiration for Marina's commitment to her family, acknowledging that prioritizing their needs above all else was the right decision. He assured Marina of his unwavering support and offered her his prayers during this challenging time.
"I genuinely want to send you my best wishes," Marina stated, acknowledging the presence of remarkable women with beautiful souls. From the depths of my heart, I desire nothing but the utmost happiness for you."
Although Gerry expressed his 'disappointment' regarding Marina's departure to host Jesse, 45, he is still faced with a substantial number of women competing for his affection.

During Thursday's rose ceremony, Gerry eliminated Natasha, 60, Jeanie, 65, and Peggy, 69. In the upcoming third episode airing on Thursday, October 12, Gerry expresses his dislike for being alone. However, it appears that he won't be lonely for much longer, as the ABC star hinted last month that he developed strong feelings for multiple women.
"I initially dismissed the idea, thinking it was impossible and absurd," Gerry confessed, recognizing his error. "But as the journey unfolded, I developed genuine and intense emotions for multiple women."
Yet, amidst this range of emotions, it was only one woman who captured his heart.
Looking back, I came to the realization that in that specific moment, whenever it occurred, the circumstances were such that it was effortless to express love towards someone. However, upon reflecting on it afterwards, it becomes clear that there is truly only one person who consistently lives up to the expectations in every situation, as he shared with Us.
