Ahsoka's upcoming appearance in August will mark the long-awaited reunion of beloved Star Wars Rebels characters. Ahsoka Tano, known as a Star Wars icon, was once the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and has since become a formidable warrior for the Rebellion. Joining her in Phoenix Squadron were Sabine Wren, a skilled Mandalorian, and General Hera Syndulla, the esteemed captain of the Ghost. In a captivating fanart by kayo_artwork, Ahsoka, Hera, and Sabine can be seen gathering together for a group photo during the dark era of the Empire's dominion.

The characters' poses give off a sense of a workday photoshoot, as the three heroines are seen wearing their Rebels attire. This dynamic was not previously seen in the animated series, but Ahsoka will bring the three of them together for an important mission.

Ahsoka Will Pay Off A Trio Rebels Set Up

In Ahsoka, the trio of Ahsoka, Hera, and Sabine will have a significant role to play, which was only hinted at in Rebels. During her time with Phoenix Squadron, Ahsoka rarely stayed on the Ghost, as she was constantly on the hunt for information on the Inquisitors and Darth Vader. The foundation for this collaboration was laid in season 1 of Rebels when Hera reluctantly allowed Sabine to accompany her to a meeting with Fulcrum, albeit the meeting never took place.

In spite of the anticipation surrounding the comebacks of these characters, their onscreen interactions have been infrequent. While there is an implied connection between Ahsoka and Sabine in the promotional material for Ahsoka, Tano's time in Rebels largely revolves around her relationships with Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus. However, the former Jedi did have more frequent communication with Hera when she operated as the agent Fulcrum, and they both spent time together on the command bridge of Phoenix Squadron's capital ship. The dynamics and clashes between these three individuals will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of Ahsoka, fulfilling a setup that was established nine years ago.
