Zendaya Commends Tom Holland for Gracefully Embracing Sudden Stardom: A Swift Transformation

Zendaya doesn’t talk a lot about her relationship with Tom Holland, but she recently expressed her admiration for him in a new interview.

In her latest cover story with Vogue released on April 9, the 27-year-old Dune: Part Two star shared some details about her connection with Holland. Zendaya mentioned that their bond is strong because they both experienced fame at a young age and understand each other well.

We were both very young when Tom Holland's career suddenly took off. One day you're just hanging out at the pub with your friends, and the next day you're Spider-Man,” Zendaya shared, recalling Holland's debut as the superhero in 2016. She witnessed his life change drastically, but she admired how he gracefully handled it.

Zendaya also mentioned that she will be supporting Holland next month as he returns to London's West End in a new production of Romeo & Juliet. “I couldn't be prouder,” she expressed. “I'm planning to attend as many shows as possible to show my support.”

During the same interview, Zendaya shared that the iconic photos of her and Holland holding hands at the Louvre almost didn't happen. Initially, they were warned that their fame might attract bigger crowds at the famous Paris museum, but they decided to go ahead with the visit anyway.

Zendaya revealed that the experience turned out to be fine. She mentioned feeling like an art piece that people wanted to take pictures of, and she just had to be cool with it and enjoy her time. The staff even allowed the couple to stay at the museum after closing time, making it one of the coolest experiences ever for them, similar to the movie Night at the Museum.

Zendaya and Holland first crossed paths on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017. However, it wasn't until July 2021 that they publicly confirmed their relationship when they were seen sharing a kiss in a car.

According to a source who spoke exclusively to We in June 2023, Zendaya and Tom made a conscious effort to keep their relationship private when they first began dating. Both of them had always been very secretive about their personal lives before they started seeing each other. This shared value of privacy brought them closer in the beginning of their relationship, as they both agreed on avoiding public scrutiny.

The insider suggested that the couple didn't have a problem with going public once it was clear that their relationship was already known to the public. The source mentioned, "They understand that everyone is aware that they are in a relationship." According to the insider, Tom is happy to refer to Zendaya as his girlfriend and openly show his love for her because he wants everyone to be aware of their relationship.
