Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Creates Unique Star Wars Podracer

A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has used the Ultrahand ability to create a unique Podracer inspired by the ones in Star Wars. This article explores the details of this impressive creation and its significance in the world of Tears of the Kingdom.

The Fusion of Zelda and Star Wars

A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has created a unique Podracer inspired by the ones in Star Wars. Since the game was released, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans have created a wide range of impressive vehicles, and this Podracer blends the worlds of Zelda and Star Wars. The original Star Wars films had memorable vehicles like the AT-AT, AT-ST, and Landspeeders. When The Phantom Menace prequel was released, Podracing was introduced to the series.

Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability allows players to explore different creative options with the objects available in the game. Players have already used the ability to make many Star Wars creations. One player made a Separatist Droid tank, another crafted an AT-AT, and one built an X-Wing. This Star Wars fan took things even further by making a Zelda version of the Podracers in the Phantom Menace.

Reddit user Divlogue recently shared a clip showing off their Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Podracer. The video begins with Link activating the unit with a Steering Stick which causes four fans on each corner of their platform to push the vehicle up. A wheel at the front of this unit is connected to one with more fans by multiple poles, giving a fair distance between Link and the fans propelling the vehicle forward. The player controls the front fans with the Steering Stick as they soar above the Tears of the Kingdom Hyrule landscape before taking it off a big drop to a watery area below. As the Reddit user had to recharge their vehicle in the process, it notably uses a lot of Zonai Charges to operate.

Because Divlogue didn't disclose how their Star Wars Podracer was created, it may be hard for other players to replicate. With Tears of the Kingdom having so many objects that players can put together with Ultrahand, this may not be the last one inspired by Star Wars.

Innovative Design and Functionality

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Podracer offers a unique twist with only one line extending to the propulsion, unlike most Star Wars Podracers which are connected to their engines by two wires. The video shows some slight latency which is a problem with multiple Tears of the Kingdom vehicles. However, the Podracer lands safely at the bottom of the jump, indicating that the fans help prevent potentially deadly fall damage.

The original Star Wars Podracer scene in The Phantom Menace takes place in the desert, and it's fitting that Divlogue is using theirs in a barren part of Hyrule. This adds an extra layer of authenticity to the experience, as the terrain and environment align with the original inspiration from Star Wars.

The Future of Star Wars Inspired Creations in Tears of the Kingdom

The creation of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Podracer by Divlogue signifies the potential for more Star Wars inspired creations in the game. With Tears of the Kingdom providing players with a diverse range of objects that can be combined using the Ultrahand ability, it's clear that the possibilities for innovation are endless.

While Divlogue's creation may be unique and challenging to replicate, it has opened the door for other players to explore their creativity and design their own Star Wars inspired vehicles. This marks the beginning of a new wave of innovative creations within the Tears of the Kingdom community, bridging the gap between the worlds of Zelda and Star Wars in a way that is both imaginative and groundbreaking.
