World of Warcraft Dragonflight Feature: Fans Rejoice!

World of Warcraft players can rejoice as the beloved Dragonflight feature is confirmed to be a permanent addition, ensuring endless adventure and excitement in the upcoming expansion

World of Warcraft has confirmed that the beloved Dragonriding feature from the Dragonflight update will remain a permanent part of the game. Despite initial speculations that it may only be a temporary addition, players are thrilled to learn that it's here to stay. Dragonriding was one of the most well-received features of the update, which also introduced Talent Trees, a customizable UI, and crafting system improvements, among other things. This dynamic and physics-based flying system, utilized on the Dragon Isles, has quickly become a fan favorite.

Dragonriding is here to stay in World of Warcraft, as Blizzard plans to expand the dynamic flying system to other areas of the game and include it in future expansions. Although Full Dragonriding won't be available in Patch 10.1.5, the developers hope to have it fully integrated by the end of Dragonflight. However, players can still enjoy a taste of global Dragonriding in the upcoming update with the Kalimdor Cup, featuring 16 new Dragonriding races across the continent. With Normal, Advanced, and Reverse variations, the races offer achievements and special rewards for players. While Dragonriding will be available during these races, it will remain inactive in Kalimdor until the system is fully implemented.

Blizzard is expanding the number of mounts that can use Dragonriding, with many normal flying mounts being given new tags and animations that suggest they'll be enabled for Dragonriding in the future. While most of these mounts have been drakes or creatures that share skeletons with current Dragonriding mounts, World of Warcraft aims to enable dynamic flying mode for other mounts like gryphons and wyverns. Dataminers have also discovered abilities that suggest flying mounts will be able to toggle between normal flying and Dragonriding, giving players the freedom to choose their preferred method of flight once Dragonriding leaves the Dragon Isles.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
