Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler may be divorced, but she has no regrets about their marriage. During the November 21st episode of Dear Media's "Let's Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari" podcast, the 36-year-old reality star answered a fan question about marrying at a young age.
Cavallari reflected on her journey, stating, "I truly believe that everything I've experienced has shaped me into the person I am today. Marrying Jay and having our three kids brought me to Franklin, Tennessee, and ultimately led me to start Uncommon James. I am incredibly grateful for that. It's the accomplishment I am most proud of in my professional life." At the age of 23, Cavallari married Cutler, who is now 40, in 2013. They were married for seven years and had three children together before their separation in 2020 and subsequent divorce in 2022.
As I've grown older, I've come to see life as a process of building blocks, where everything starts to fall into place. I am extremely grateful for my past relationship. It ultimately led me to discover myself and taught me valuable lessons, even through the tough times. I truly believe that the most challenging moments in life are where we experience the most growth. While there are moments I may not be proud of, I do not regret anything. That being said, my lack of regret does not mean I endorse certain decisions, such as getting married at a young age like I did.
"I'll probably advise my children to wait until they're in their 30s to get married," she confessed. "Because you change so much. We all change so much, guys. Just think about it. I'm 36, almost 37, and I don't even recognize who I was at 23. I am a completely different person. Sure, there are things about me that remain the same, but I'm a different person. And my aim in life is to constantly evolve and grow. I suppose it's really about finding someone with whom you can evolve and grow, but it's tough to find that when you're so young. At least it was for me."
