Exclusive: Kristin Cavallari Sets the Record Straight on Travis Kelce 'Crush' Amidst Surprising Taylor Swift Romance Rumors

Kristin Cavallari clarified her comments on Monday, October 16, after her recent podcast interview with the athlete Travis Kelce raised eyebrows.

"It's amusing how everyone was saying, 'Kristin was making a move on Travis'," Cavallari told E! News. "But the truth is, I wasn't even there. If I genuinely have a crush on someone, I wouldn't just openly confess that I had a massive crush on them and was head over heels in love. I know how to play it cool."

During Kelce's appearance on Cavallari's "Let's Be Honest" show last month, she confessed that she was a avid fan of his reality dating series, Catching Kelce, which was aired in 2016.

"You were my ultimate celebrity crush during the show's airing," she confessed. "I was completely smitten with you."

Meanwhile, Kelce shared some details about his life prior to his growing relationship with Swift, 33, which eventually blossomed into something more profound.

“To truly immerse oneself in a relationship with another person... it requires a substantial amount of time,” he stated in September. “To truly commit and fully invest oneself, a deep understanding of the other person is crucial. I cannot simply meet someone and expect forever to be just around the corner. That level of expectation is overwhelming. I would be setting myself up for failure.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made news in July when Kelce revealed that he attempted to give Swift his number during her Eras Tour in Kansas City. However, he expressed disappointment that Swift does not engage in conversation before or after her performances in order to conserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Kelce mentioned on their "New Heights" podcast, hosted by his brother Jason Kelce, that he was slightly upset that he couldn't present one of the bracelets he had made specifically for Swift.

Travis admitted attempting to make a move by discreetly including his phone number on the friendship bracelet. He expressed, "She doesn't typically socialize with anyone — or at least she didn't seem interested in meeting me, so I took it personally. Nevertheless, it was an unforgettable event. Kansas City truly impressed."

In return, Swift reciprocated by attending and showing her support for Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs during their game against the Chicago Bears on September 24. Prior to leaving the stadium, she even spent time with Travis' mother, Donna Kelce, accompanying Travis himself.

"Taylor deserves a special acknowledgement for her courage," he enthusiastically exclaimed on his podcast a few days afterwards. "I found it incredible that everyone in the suite only had praises for her. Her friends and family were there, and she looked stunning. Adding to that joy, the day was absolutely flawless for Chiefs fans. We had planned it all, folks. The atmosphere was simply electrifying."

During that period, Travis expressed his desire to keep his relationship with Swift more low-profile.

"I acknowledge that I drew attention to myself by initiating the friendship bracelet situation and publicly expressing my dissatisfaction about not being able to meet Taylor. However, it is important to recognize that my personal life should be respected, as well as Taylor's. She is not as frequently in the media as I am, with my participation in this show and my appearances on other shows during the NFL season."

Following their appearances on Saturday Night Live on October 14, the couple has been seen multiple times in New York City, holding hands together.

Travis stands out from any previous person Taylor has dated, and her feelings for him grow stronger with each passing day. A reliable source revealed that the athlete consistently goes above and beyond to make Taylor feel exceptionally valued.

The insider disclosed that their shared circle of friends believes they are an ideal match.
