In 1987, America was introduced to the Tanner family and quickly fell in love with their charming San Francisco home and daily adventures. The beloved sitcom, which aired for a total of 8 seasons on ABC between 1987 and 1995, followed the story of Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) as he navigated raising his three daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), after the loss of his wife. With the help of his brother-in-law, Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), and best friend Joey (Dave Coulier), Danny learned that he didn't have to do it alone. The series also featured Lori Loughlin as Jesse's love interest, Rebecca "Becky" Donaldson, Andrea Barber as D.J.'s best friend, Kimmy Gibbler, and Steve Weinger as D.J.'s on-again, off-again love interest, Steve Hale, who made viewers swoon.

In 2015, Netflix announced the revival of Fuller House, causing fans to celebrate. The series featured several original cast members, including Sweetin, Bure, and Barber, who reprised their roles as regulars. Loughlin, Stamos, Coulier, Saget, and Weinger also appeared as recurring guest stars. However, the Olsen twins decided not to return to their Tanner family roots. According to Bure, they have no plans to return to the show in the future.

Fuller House's fifth and final season was slated to air in fall of 2019, but Lori Loughlin's character, Becky, was absent from the show due to her alleged involvement in the college admissions scandal that rocked the nation. Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were arrested for reportedly paying $500,000 to have their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as crew recruits, despite never having participated in the sport. Following a plea deal, Loughlin was sentenced to two months in prison, two years of supervised release, 100 hours of community service, and a $150,000 fine in August 2020, while Giannulli received a five-month prison sentence, two years of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service.

'Full House' Stars: Then and Now!

In 1987, the Tanner family captured America's heart when they warmly welcomed viewers into their San Francisco home and daily lives. The popular sitcom aired for 8 seasons on ABC from 1987 to 1995, chronicling widower Danny Tanner's (Bob Saget) struggles raising his three daughters - D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen). Fortunately, Danny's brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and best friend Joey (Dave Coulier) move in to help him out. Lori Loughlin also starred as Jesse's love interest, Rebecca "Becky" Donaldson, while Andrea Barber played D.J.'s best friend, Kimmy Gibbler. Steve Weinger added to the drama as D.J.'s on-again, off-again love interest, Steve Hale.

In 2015, Netflix announced a revival series titled Fuller House that brought back many of the original cast members, much to the delight of fans. Among the returning series regulars were Sweetin, Bure, and Barber, while Loughlin, Stamos, Coulier, Saget, and Weinger made appearances as recurring guest stars. However, the Olsen twins decided not to reprise their roles in the Tanner family and are unlikely to change their minds anytime soon, according to Bure, who stated in February 2019 that they "will never come back" and have no interest in being on the show.

Loughlin's absence from the final season of Fuller House was due to her alleged involvement in the nationwide college admissions scandal, which resulted in her and her husband's arrest in March 2019. The couple was accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as designated crew team recruits, despite the fact that they had never played the sport. After pleading guilty in May 2020, Loughlin was sentenced to two months in prison, two years of supervised release, 100 hours of community service, and a $150,000 fine. Her husband received a five-month prison sentence, two years of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service.
