Beyoncé's highly anticipated concert movie Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé had to trim some of her iconic stage moments to fit into its three-hour runtime. The film premiered in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 25 and is set to hit theaters on Friday, December 1. Early reviews noted that some musical performances were sacrificed to include more behind-the-scenes footage.

Beyoncé performs for roughly two-and-a-half to three hours each night, yet the film has a duration of about two hours and 48 minutes. Renaissance is more than just a concert film - Beyoncé offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the preparations for her 2023 tour, reminiscent of her 2019 Netflix documentary Homecoming, which provided fans with an exclusive look at her 2018 Coachella performance.

For the premiere of the Renaissance movie on Saturday, Beyoncé debuted a completely new appearance. The singer donned a custom silver Versace gown with coordinating gloves to complement her platinum blonde hair.

Musical Interludes

Beyoncé's Renaissance set list was opened with a prelude heavy on ballads, but The New York Times' review of the film revealed that it has been trimmed. The film includes nearly every other song from the tour.

‘Renaissance’ Songs

Although the titles of the songs have not been revealed yet, Deadline suggested that “most” of the Renaissance songs have been included. This has led fans to speculate that some of the tracks from the album were excluded from the movie.

Not every crowd on the tour was able to hear this song live, but it did make it into the movie.
