In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, upgrading Link's armor is crucial for his survival. To do so, players must seek out the Great Fairies scattered throughout Hyrule. The first Great Fairy can be found near the Woodland Stable, where players can also build a carriage and retrieve the Lucky Clover Gazette in Hebra. Completing the Serenade to a Great Fairy quest is necessary to unlock her services and upgrade Link's armor using Rupees and materials specific to each armor set.

Find The Lucky Clover Gazette in Hebra

To awaken the Great Fairy Tera, a Violin must be played, and Link has the opportunity to bring one to her. Fortunately, The Stable Trotters, a traveling musical troupe, are in the vicinity, but their carriage, Breezer, is in need of repair. In order to complete the Serenade To A Great Fairy quest, Tears of the Kingdom players must fix the carriage and escort the Violin player to Tera. However, before embarking on this mission, Link must make a stop elsewhere to initiate the quest.

The Lucky Clover Gazette, which operates out of the Hebra Mountain region just outside of Rito Village, is the leading newspaper in Hyrule. Their reporter, Penn, who resembles an albatross, is currently investigating sightings of Princess Zelda in various stables across the region. One particular story that caught Penn's attention was the Great Fairy near Woodland Stable, who reportedly received instructions from a figure that resembled Zelda not to leave her fountain. This is a story that Penn is eager to delve further into.

To reach the Lucky Clover Gazette, players can take the road leading from Tabantha Bridge in the southwest of Hyrule Field, into the Hebra Mountain Region. As the road turns northward, the Gazette can be found just before entering Rito Village. Alternatively, players can make their way to the nearby Skyview Tower and paraglide west to reach the Gazette. The exact coordinates of the Lucky Clover Gazette are (1846, -0967, 0115).

Return To Woodland Stable & Build A Carriage

Upon starting the "Potential Princess Sightings" quest from the Gazette editor and receiving confirmation of Link's abilities from Penn, the Serenade to a Great Fairy mission will become available at the Woodland Stable. Once finished at the Lucky Clover Gazette or exploring the Rito branch of the Regional Phenomena quest, return to the Woodland Stable located just northeast of Lookout Landing, accessible via the bridge at coordinates (1043, 1145, 0022). To start the Serenade to a Great Fairy quest, talk to Penn and the Stable Trotters. This quest is an extension of both the musical troupe's and the Gazette's questlines and offers further opportunities to explore each. Mastro informs Link that their carriage has broken down, and they are unable to visit the nearby Great Fairy until it has been repaired. Players must use nearby parts to construct a vehicle that can climb the hill and reach Tera without encountering too much turbulence.

To restore Breezer, players can create a basic carriage with four wheels and a horse-drawn towing harness. This harness allows Link to attach a small block to be dragged by the horse, which can be used to attach Breezer's front axle. It's important to ensure balance by attaching two additional wheels to the back of the carriage.

There are countless solutions to the building puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom. Link can choose not to use a horse to transport the Stable Trotters up the hill. Instead, he could utilize Zonai Devices by attaching a rocket to the Breezer with a steering stick, attaching Zonai wheels to the sides and driving up the hill, or even using Ultrahand to carry the troupe up the hill himself.

The possibilities of what you can do with the Breezer are endless, but be cautious not to over-tilt it, drop it from a great height, or push its speed limits. If things start to get risky, the camera will humorously zoom in on Mastro's concerned face as he declares that it's too perilous to proceed, and the Breezer will reset back to Woodland Stable.

After successfully escorting the troupe to the Great Fairy Fountain behind Woodland Stable, they will disembark and begin a musical performance. Reuniting the missing band members is unnecessary for this particular Great Fairy, as only Violynne's music is required to summon Tera. Tera will emerge from her bud and divulge the whereabouts of the other three Great Fairies, excluding Malanya. Additionally, Tera is capable of upgrading Link's armor by one level, while her sisters can collectively enhance it up to three times.

The other Great Fairy locations also house the Stable Trotters, but players must bring different musicians for each one, including a horn player, a drummer, and a flute player. As a reward for assisting with the investigation of Zelda sightings, Link will receive 50 rupees from Penn to add to his savings.
