Discover the Crystal Location and Unlock the Rakakudaj Shrine WalkthroughIn The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have the opportunity to explore a variety of Shrines, many of which require completing a challenge outside before gaining access inside. While most of these Shrines are Rauru's Blessing Shrines, where players can easily grab the Chest and Light of Blessing, access must first be earned. With so many Shrines to discover, players must stay vigilant and determined to uncover all the secrets hidden throughout the game.
Gerudo Canyon Crystal Location
To gain access to some of the hidden Shrines in Hyrule, players are required to solve puzzles involving Green Crystals. These crystals are scattered all over the land and, once activated, they point towards a specific location. By reaching that location, players can unlock a Shrine that was previously concealed. For instance, to solve the challenge of the Gerudo Canyon Crystal, gamers must build a vehicle that has the ability to climb small waterfalls.
Located near the road that twists north from the southern end of Digdogg Bridge, the Gerudo Canyon Green Crystal awaits discovery. This crystal is strategically positioned as it is the last landmark that Hylians encounter before entering Hyrule's parched southwest region - Gerudo Desert. To prove his survival skills, Link must answer a set of four questions posed by a guard.
Unlock Rakakudaj Shrine Walkthrough
After successfully passing the test, players can head north on the road and keep an eye out for the Green Crystal on the western side. It can be found at the coordinates (-1895, -2345, -0001) and is located next to one of the missing travelers who needs to be rescued as part of another quest starting at Digdogg Bridge. The Green Crystal points towards a canyon with rushing water, away from the road.
Craft a versatile vehicle using materials such as nearby fans, platforms, and Zonai Devices obtained from dispensers. This vehicle should be able to navigate over rough terrain and climb small cliffs with ease. As Link encounters a series of small waterfalls, the Zonai Big Wheels can effortlessly ascend them with a little boost from a nearby fan.
Consider utilizing the wooden planks found at the Hudson Construction area to construct a sturdy base for your vehicle. Add some wheels and a fan to propel yourself northward. To ensure success, attach a Green Crystal to the front and a Steering Stick to the rear of your vehicle. Additionally, using a Stabilizer on a platform can eliminate the need for four wheels, as it will prevent tipping with only two wheels and a Stabilizer.
As the vehicle approaches the water, the excitement builds. Follow the laser and carefully navigate the sloping rocks that lead to the Shrine. If Link encounters difficulty scaling one of the short cliffs, he can easily switch to Ultrahand, lift it over the obstacle, and continue on his journey.
As players make their way through a series of small waterfalls that progressively increase in height, they will eventually arrive at the entrance to Rakakudaj Shrine, which has been indicated by the Green Crystal. Once they have detached the Gerudo Canyon Green Crystal from their vehicle, they can pull it over to the laser's endpoint. Once the crystal is in the correct position, a cutscene will be triggered, granting Link access to the Rakakudaj Shrine.
What's In the Rakakudaj Shrine Chest?
Players who manage to locate the Rauru's Blessing shrine are handsomely rewarded without having to tackle any extra challenges or puzzles. Unlike other shrines, the Green Crystal in this shrine is not a puzzle to solve but rather a discovery to be made in Hyrule. In the Rakakudaj Chest lies a Mighty Zonaite Longsword that can significantly boost its attack power when fused with Zonai Devices or materials such as Flux Construct parts. Once acquired, players can head to the Rauru and Sonia statue to claim their Light of Blessing.
