Found high in the skies above Hyrule, the Gikaku Shrine is a straightforward shrine to complete in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To access the shrine, players need to find a green crystal and return it to its rightful place, which is located directly above the shrine. The only challenge is reaching the crystal on the floating island, but skilled players should have no trouble with this task.
Located in the Akkala Highlands Sky region, northeast of the Natak Shrine, is the Gikaku Shrine. To reach this shrine, players can start from the Natak Shrine if they have already visited it. Alternatively, they can travel north from the Igoshon Shrine and hop from island to island or head to the Geminak Shrine on the surface and use a Zonai device to go straight up. The coordinates for the Gikaku Shrine are 4505, 2165, 1155.
Gikaku Shrine Walkthrough
Upon interacting with the Gikaku Shrine, players will initiate the "The Sky Mine Crystal" Shrine Quest. A beam of vibrant green light will indicate the location of the crystal, which is situated above the shrine. To reach the crystal, adventurers must find a way to ascend the towering islands that loom above them, before they can successfully complete the Gikaku Shrine challenge.
To reach the island with the green crystal, players have a couple of options. One is to activate all of the nearby launchers by interacting with the gateway at 4497, 2106, 1155, and use them to ascend higher into the sky. Another option is to construct a Hover Bike and fly up to the island. Once there, players can use Link's Ultrahand ability to pick up the crystal and drop it off the edge, aiming for the island below. They can utilize the green beam of light or adjust the camera to ensure proper alignment. Missing the target is not a major issue, as the crystal will respawn next to the player if it does not land on the island below.
After safely landing the crystal, players can descend to the island below and bring the crystal back to its rightful place, completing "The Sky Mine Crystal" Shrine Quest. This marks the end of the quest and allows players to enter the Gikaku Shrine for their rewards. Inside, players will find a chest containing a Ruby, as well as Rauru's Blessing shrine and a Light of Blessing. Before leaving the area, players can also acquire the Zonaite Shin Guards by grabbing the floating orb just above them. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
