1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton opened up about what dieting tips have helped her maintain her weight loss.
Slaton, 37, shared a series of videos and pictures on Instagram on September 28, showcasing her new, slimmer figure. Fans praised her progress and sought advice, to which Slaton responded by mentioning a diet focused on proteins, low carbs, no sugars, no pop, and portion control. This response was reportedly made in a now-deleted thread, as per the Daily Mail.
Slaton has shared her knowledge on creating a menu that aligns with her goals, while also showcasing some of her unique culinary creations. In August, she took to Instagram to share a selection of her favorite meals that she had prepared for herself and her family.
"Even though I have dietary restrictions, I believe in providing my family with delicious food. I'm excited to finally showcase my cooking skills. Call me Chef TT or Chef TamTam," she wrote, accompanying a slideshow of various dishes.
When Slaton made her debut on 1000-Lb Sisters in 2020, her initial weight was approximately 600 lbs. Although her weight fluctuated during the early seasons, she managed to shed 115 lbs after seeking treatment in 2021. After two years, she successfully reached her target weight, which made her eligible for bariatric surgery. This surgical procedure, aimed at facilitating weight loss, involves modifying the person's digestive system, as explained by the Mayo Clinic. Slaton underwent the procedure in 2022, and this significant event was documented in a June episode of 1000-Lb Sisters.
Expressing her emotions in a confessional, she enthusiastically shared, "I feel absolutely thrilled, proud, and excited. I have proven all the doubters wrong. Finally, it's my triumphant moment—the perfect 'I told you so!'"

Slaton has unquestionably made strides in her health journey, yet she has encountered significant challenges along the way. Earlier this year, the TLC star divulged the heartbreaking news of her husband's passing, Caleb Willingham.
Tammy shared a heartfelt message on Instagram in July, expressing her deep sorrow and immense love for the departed Willingham. She confirmed his passing at the age of 40 and thanked Caleb for bringing genuine love and happiness into her life. However, just two days later, Slaton admitted that their marriage had been facing difficulties prior to his demise.
"I'm currently experiencing the stages of grief. Despite the issues we were facing, I had genuine love for that man, and that love still remains," she emotionally expressed in a TikTok video in July. While she chose not to delve into the specifics of the situation, she firmly believes that Willingham is watching over her from above. "He no longer experiences any pain, and I find solace in knowing that he is in a happier place," she shared.
Thank You!
: Slaton and Willingham crossed paths during their time in rehabilitation, forging a connection that ultimately led to their union. Approximately one year later, the couple joyfully exchanged vows at the very center where their journey together began. Expressing her gratitude, she happily shared with E! News that numerous family members, as well as their rehab family, were present to witness and celebrate the wedding, describing it as the pinnacle of happiness for both of them. You have successfully subscribed.

Slaton candidly shared with We about her connection with Willingham prior to his passing, expressing how they stood by one another during times of hardship.
"We offer unwavering support to each other. In our journey to lose weight, when he struggles with the urge to eat out of boredom or as a result of emotional eating, he reaches out to me and we discuss the situation," Slaton revealed to Us in February. "Likewise, I confide in him about my own struggles. We openly communicate about our challenges and delve into the reasons behind our emotions. We are genuine partners."
