Content: Tammy Slaton, star of 1000-Lb. Sisters, revealed her significant weight loss after undergoing gastric bypass surgery in the summer of 2022. The 36-year-old TLC personality flaunted her slimmer physique on Instagram on June 27, wearing a floral maxi dress. Her fans flooded the comments section, applauding her incredible body transformation.
"Tammy, where have you disappeared to? You appear absolutely stunning!" expressed one user on Instagram.
Adding to the enthusiasm, another user joined in and exclaimed, "Wow, girl, you look incredible! Yes, queen! I'm extremely proud of you! I know it wasn't an easy journey, believe me, but you achieved it!"
Since undergoing weight loss surgery, Slaton has significantly increased her activity on social media. In a February episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the Kentucky native recounted the moment she discovered she had reached the required weight for the procedure.
"When I stepped on the scale and saw that it read 534.7, I was momentarily breathless," Slaton expressed during the episode. "I realized that I was 14 pounds below my target weight. Considering I was over 700 pounds before, this is a remarkable achievement."

Expressing her emotions, she exclaimed, "Thrilled, proud, excited—I am experiencing a whirlwind of feelings. I have triumphed over all the doubt; it is a gratifying moment for me! My 'told-you-so' moment has finally arrived!"
While in recovery at an Ohio rehab center, the reality TV star crossed paths with Caleb Willingham, another patient. Surprisingly, the pair decided to get married in November 2022 right there at the facility. Slaton disclosed exclusively to We Magazine in February that her weight loss surgery had no impact on her relationship with Willingham, who is 39 years old.
"We wholeheartedly support each other. During our individual weight loss journeys, whenever he struggles with the temptation to eat out of boredom or as an emotional response, he turns to me and we discuss the situation," she said during the interview. "The same goes for me, and I confide in him. We openly address our personal issues and explore the reasons behind our feelings. We truly are equal partners."
Earlier this month, Slaton reached a significant milestone in her journey - she achieved the ability to breathe independently, without relying on an oxygen tube. Dr. Eric Smith, her bariatric surgeon, shared an Instagram video where Slaton pleasantly surprised him on his birthday. She visited his office and proudly demonstrated her newfound ability to walk effortlessly, completely free from any signs of an oxygen tube.
In the video, she proudly declared, "Something is missing!" as she walked, pointing at her face.
"Wow, no oxygen! That's incredible," Smith exclaimed. Slaton then mentioned that she had been without it for approximately two weeks.
The video was captioned by the surgeon as "The ultimate birthday surprise." Despite facing various health problems in the past, including a life-threatening incident of carbon monoxide poisoning in 2021, Slaton has been enjoying life to the fullest in recent months. In May, she happily joined her sister Amy Slaton for a girl's night out, and Amy, who has two sons with estranged husband Michael Halterman, shared photos from the eventful evening.

"I had an amazing time last night, even though I ended up embarrassing myself. But it was all in good fun. Now, I'm off to pick up my boys. I'm really looking forward to seeing my new friends again, we really love you all!" she enthusiastically captioned the post.
Fans in the comments showered Tammy with praise for her remarkable progress.
"Without a trach, no need for oxygen, and not relying on a wheelchair anymore. She can stand on her own and even do a few squats. It's truly amazing to witness! Congratulations on your dedication and hard work," one user on Instagram expressed.
Another fan added: “Seeing Tammy stand on her own is so heartwarming. Proud of y’all’s progress ️.”
