Kang Taeshik is a B-class hunter who works for the Korean Hunters Organization. He first appeared in episode 3 of the series when he went to the hospital with Woo Jinchul to check if Sung Jinwoo had awakened.

After his initial appearance, Kang Taeshik was not seen in the anime until episode 8. In this episode, he returned as a supervisor for the criminals participating in Sung Jinwoo's upcoming mission. These criminals were given the opportunity to join the quest in order to lessen their punishment.

Song Chiyul and Joohee, Sung Jinwoo's old friends, were on a quest inside a C-rank dungeon. When Sung Jinwoo and Taeshik crossed paths, Sung Jinwoo felt uneasy about him.

As the adventure progressed, the path split into three different directions. Taeshik led the criminals down one path, while Sung Jinwoo and his friends followed another. The protagonist began to feel increasingly wary of Taeshik.

Unfortunately, Kim Sangshik stumbled upon Taeshik in the act of killing criminals, exposing his secret job as a 'hitman' being paid three billion won to carry out the deed.

Kim Sangshik witnessed the killings and yelled out as Taeshik went after him. Jinwoo heard the commotion and hurried towards the noise. Taeshik tried to attack Joohee, but Jinwoo intervened just in time to stop him.

Taeshik, a B-class assassin-class hunter, had a significant speed advantage over his fellow hunters. He managed to outmatch Song Chiyul, despite Joohee's constant healing support. His unique ability was Stealth.

Kang Taeshik utilized his 'Stealth' ability from the manhwa to mask his presence briefly, allowing him to sneak up on his opponent. In a tense battle against Sung Jinwoo, he employed this skill to catch the protagonist off guard and inflict damage.

But Kang Taeshik's Bloodlust skill, designed to detect bloodlust, sensed him before he could sneak up on him and stab him. This unfortunate event resulted in Taeshik's death. Upon his demise, Sung Jinwoo found a rune stone on his body that granted him the 'Stealth' skill. Sung Jinwoo was later observed using this skill, indicating that he likely broke the rune stone to acquire 'Stealth.'

Manhwa fans who are also watching the anime series may have been surprised to see Kang Taeshik in episode 3. In the official webtoon series, he doesn't show up during Sung Jinwoo's hospital awakening test.

He was actually introduced in chapter 27, which aligns with the current episode (episode 8). This addition was made by the animation studio as a way to hint at Kang Taeshik being a future adversary for Sung Jinwoo.
