While flying towards the nearby Flame Gleeok, they unexpectedly landed on the precise column with the pressure plate that unlocks the concealed cave containing the Tunic of Awakening.

They revealed that they themselves had endured an agonizingly long duration attempting to locate the elusive cave after discovering its existence.
