How to Complete False Friends in Final Fantasy 16
Players can activate the quest "False Friends" once they have completed the main story quest "Homecoming". In order to do so, they must approach Brennan, a sellsword who can be found attending to his Chocobo near The Golden Stables in Martha's Rest, close to the entrance of the Bloodaxe Barracks. Brennan will request Clive's assistance in locating a Bearer named Norreis, and if players agree, the search for the missing Bearer will commence.
To start their journey, players should cross the wooden bridge opposite Brennan and approach the off-duty sellsword who is lost in thought, gazing into the distance. The sellsword will mention witnessing someone carrying a lamp and heading into the bog. Following the sellsword's advice, players should proceed across the bridge towards the quest marker below. Eventually, they will stumble upon the lamp mentioned earlier, which will guide them straight to a nearby wooden structure where they can find Norreis.
Players should fast travel back to the Obelisk at Martha's Rest after speaking with Norreis, and then return to speak to Brennan. Despite Ronald's eagerness to bring Norreis to justice, Clive's quick thinking prevents him from getting the opportunity. After storming off, Brennan expresses gratitude to Clive for assisting Norreis and rewards him with ten Magicked Ash and a Meteorite. Additionally, players receive 22 XP and 100 Ability Points for their efforts. Final Fantasy 16 can currently be enjoyed exclusively on the PlayStation 5.
