Supernatural beings known as Cursed Spirits are born from the negative emotions of humans, such as fear and hatred, which emit cursed energy. Curses, as they are also called, pose a threat to humans and are exorcised by Jujutsu sorcerers whose role is to protect humanity. Cursed spirits are classified into grades 4 to special grades, with the latter being the most powerful. They come in various forms and strengths, making them a formidable opponent. In Jujutsu Kaisen, some of the most formidable cursed spirits are found.

10 Finger Bearer

The group of Yuuji, Megumi, and Nobara encountered their first special grade cursed spirit at the detention center in episode 4. These cursed spirits, known as finger bearers, are born from cursed wombs that consumed a special grade cursed object from Ryoumen Sukuna’s finger. With 0.05% of Sukuna’s power, this cursed spirit possessed an overwhelming amount of cursed energy, making it difficult for the trio to handle.

Upon birth, finger bearers create an innate domain and can unleash pure cursed energy blasts, even surprising the experienced sorcerer, Megumi. The cursed spirit proved to be a formidable opponent, toying with Yuuji despite his incredible strength and speed, as he was unable to use any cursed energy. For most jujutsu sorcerers, facing a finger bearer would be a daunting task due to their immense power.

9 Smallpox Deity

Pseudo Geto controlled a special-grade cursed spirit in Shibuya, which was born from humanity's fear of smallpox. This cursed spirit was considered one of the strongest in his arsenal, and Geto planned to use it to test the strength of a grade 1 sorcerer. It possesses a gravestone-cursed technique, wherein it traps its target inside a cramped coffin and drops a giant tombstone on top, causing extensive damage and burying the coffin underground. The disease curse then begins to countdown, and when it reaches one, the target is infected with smallpox and dies. Furthermore, the smallpox deity has a fully realized domain that poses a challenge for any sorcerer.

8 Kurourushi

Kurourushi, a member of the 16 registered special grade cursed spirits, was selected by Kenjaku to take part in the culling games. This cursed Spirit is a manifestation of humans' fear of cockroaches and has a penchant for killing and devouring humans due to its love for iron. Despite being caught in a deadlock in the Sendai colony, Kurourushi attacked Yuta Okkotsu after he broke the impasse. With the cursed energy reinforced cockroaches under its control, Kurourushi can swiftly consume any human, and its life-festering sword is notorious for its ability to blend life and death.

7 Dagon

Dagon, a cursed spirit born out of humanity's fear of water-based disasters, remained a docile entity for the most part of its existence. However, after the Shibuya incident, Dagon underwent a transformation, becoming a force to be reckoned with. In its evolved state, Dagon was virtually impervious to the attacks of two grade-1 sorcerers, Nanamin and Naobito. Even Nanamin's powerful ratio technique failed to inflict any significant damage on the spirit due to its remarkable durability.

Naobito was also taken aback by Dagon's immense cursed energy, while the spirit's ability to utilize domain expansion only added to its already impressive arsenal. Despite not relying on its domain's sure hit, Dagon was able to engage in combat against four grade-1 sorcerers, namely Maki, Naobito, Nanamin, and Megumi, with relative ease. Although classified as the weakest disaster-cursed spirit, Dagon still possessed enough power to hold its own against formidable opponents.

6 Naoya

Naoya, a former grade 1 sorcerer who was transformed into a vengeful cursed spirit after being killed by Maki's mom, is one of the most powerful spirits we have encountered in the series thus far. His cursed technique, "Projection sorcery," was retained in his cursed form, but with the added benefit of a cursed spirit's body, he could take it to extraordinary heights and move at incredible speeds. In his unevolved state, he was able to reach Mach 3 speed, which allowed him to easily overpower Maki and Noritoshi Kamo, leaving them with no choice but to react and barely save themselves. Once he fully evolved, he was even able to open a domain expansion. Naoya's cursed form is among the fastest in the entire series, and as he aptly put it, "strength is weight and speed."

Mahito has the ability to manipulate the souls of anyone he touches, and those who are unfamiliar with the outline of their own soul are unable to inflict any damage on him. He is also highly proficient in Jujutsu, as evidenced by his successful deployment of a domain in a real fight and his evolution to his full state in later battles. His exceptional powers were recognized early on, earning him the status of a special-grade cursed spirit within just a few days of his birth.

2 Rika

Rika, a cursed Spirit born from the death of Yuta Okkotsu's friend Rika Orimoto, holds a deep grudge against those who wronged her. In volume 0, Rika demonstrated her immense power by taking down grade 2 and grade 1 sorcerers with ease, even without fully manifesting. Her abilities include the ability to copy cursed techniques and an almost limitless supply of energy to execute them. After her cursed energy limits were removed by Okkotsu, her pure love beam proved to be more powerful than Geto's maximum technique, Uzumaki, which combined 4,461 cursed spirits into a single cursed energy blast. 1 Ryoumen Sukuna

In the Heian era 1000 years ago, the King of curses was believed to be a demon god with four arms and two faces. He transformed himself into a cursed object, allowing him to transcend time. His fingers were indestructible, and he later reincarnated in Yuuji during the modern era. Sukuna, on the other hand, possesses a mysterious cursed technique that is yet to be fully understood. He has two slashing attacks, Dismantle and Cleave, and an unnamed fire attack, in addition to a unique domain expansion.
