Unveiling the Exciting Release Date for Final Fantasy 14 x Fall Guys Crossover - Prepare for Epic Fun!

The Fall Guys collaboration event's start date was unveiled during the Fan Festival in London for Final Fantasy 14. Judging from the gameplay footage, this new minigame in Final Fantasy 14 promises to be one of the most exhilarating ones. In the initial FanFest held in Las Vegas, Final Fantasy 14 revealed its collaboration event with Fall Guys. This involved the introduction of Final Fantasy 14 cosmetics in Fall Guys, as well as the inclusion of a Gold Saucer-inspired obstacle course in the highly acclaimed MMORPG.

Now, Final Fantasy 14 has announced the release date for their upcoming event. Starting October 31, in conjunction with Patch 6.51, players will have the opportunity to take part in a unique Fall Guys Gold Saucer event. This event will feature obstacle courses inspired by Fall Guys, with a Final Fantasy 14 twist. The gameplay footage showcased a fusion of FF14 mechanics and characters, combined with familiar traps, tricks, and environments from Fall Guys. Additionally, players can earn special Fall Guys cosmetics, including minions and glamours, by participating.

While the specific details of the event will be revealed once the collaboration is live, Naoki Yoshida, the director and producer of Final Fantasy 14, provided some basic information during the convention. The minigame will pit up to 24 players against each other, challenging them to survive a chaotic course that makes Gold Saucer attractions like The Slice is Right and Leap of Faith appear easy in comparison. The Fall Guys event will not be permanently available in the Gold Saucer, but Final Fantasy 14 intends to bring it back on a regular basis.

Regrettably, the Fall Guys event featuring Final Fantasy 14 has concluded. From August 22 to October 3, players had the opportunity to acquire eight Final Fantasy 14 costumes for their Fall Guys avatars. They also had access to various emotes, nameplates, nicknames, and other cosmetics. At the moment, it remains uncertain whether the event will make a return in the future for Fall Guys.

Final Fantasy 14 is currently experiencing a significant period of collaborations. During FanFest, it was confirmed that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 16 collaboration will take place before Dawntrail next summer. Furthermore, Final Fantasy 11 will be making a significant impact on Final Fantasy 14, as the new 24-man Alliance raid in Dawntrail, titled Echoes of Vana’diel, will pay homage to the classic MMO in a grand way. With Final Fantasy 14 also expanding to Xbox, Eorzea may soon witness a surge of new players from diverse audiences.

Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5, with an Xbox Series X/S version launching in Spring 2024.
