Similar to its predecessors and Larian Studios' previous successful CRPG Divinity: Original Sin 2, Baldur's Gate 3 is a vast RPG with numerous paths to explore. While some players may be able to complete the main storyline in as little as 25 to 40 hours, the majority will likely require around 75 to 100 hours to complete Baldur's Gate 3.
Coelho_Branco_, a fan of Baldur's Gate 3, recently shared on Reddit that it took them approximately 90 hours to complete Act 1. This first chapter of the game is extensive, encompassing various landscapes such as fetid swamps, mountain passes, and the vast subterranean Underdark region. Surprisingly, Coelho_Branco_ spent nearly the same amount of time on Act 1 as some players would spend to finish the entire game.
It is worth noting that the Steam playtime for Baldur's Gate 3 includes time spent in menus, character creation, and across all played characters. As a result, some players have inflated playtime due to rebuilding characters or repeated playthroughs. Furthermore, the playtime also considers the Early Access phase, leading to instances where certain players have accumulated over 1000 hours of playtime.
