Unlock the Epic World of Baldur's Gate 3 in 174 Hours of Mesmerizing Cutscenes

Baldur's Gate 3 surprises gamers with an astounding 174 hours of captivating cutscenes, exceeding all expectations, as revealed by Larian Studios' latest update

Larian Studios, the developer behind Baldur's Gate 3, recently announced that the game will feature a staggering 174 hours of cinematic content. Set to be released in 2023, Baldur's Gate 3 is highly anticipated and looks to be one of the longest RPGs of its kind. Since its official unveiling in 2019, the game has been eagerly anticipated by both long-time fans of the original Baldur's Gate series and those who enjoyed Larian's previous hit, Divinity: Original Sin 2. Following some changes to its release schedule, Baldur's Gate 3 is now slated for a PC launch on August 3, and promises to be Larian Studios' largest game to date.

Recently, the developers behind Baldur's Gate 3 revealed that the official release of the game will feature an extensive 174 hours of cinematics. To put it into perspective, this amounts to double the combined length of every season of Game of Thrones. However, experiencing all of these cutscenes in a single playthrough is highly unlikely. With multiple characters to choose from and various branching paths for quests, it is important to note that Larian Studios has accounted for all the content they have created, rather than what any individual player will necessarily encounter.

Larian has announced that Baldur's Gate 3 will introduce additional playable races and classes. The Monk, Dragonborn, and Half-Orc will be available in the final version of the game, although they are currently absent from the Early Access version. Furthermore, all existing classes will receive new subclasses, and the maximum level cap will be raised to 12. Some of the new subclasses include the Spore Druid, Gloom Stalker for Rangers, and a new Assassin for Rogues. The Wizard class will have the most subclass options, with players able to choose from Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Necromancy, Illusion, and Transmutation schools.

Unfortunately, Xbox gamers will have to wait for the release of Baldur's Gate 3. Larian has explained that adapting the game for Xbox Series S has proven to be challenging, particularly for the co-op features that allow players to explore cities separately. Microsoft's requirement for compatibility with both Series S and X has caused a delay in the Xbox release. However, it is expected that the game will be released on Xbox once this issue is resolved.

Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PC on August 3 and PS5 on September 6.
