How to Find Jones the CatHow to Open the Secret Door
Dead by Daylight has a history of incorporating well-known film and video game locations into its gameplay, such as the Raccoon City Police Department from Resident Evil and the Midwich Elementary School from Silent Hill. These maps are filled with subtle references and Easter eggs that pay homage to their original sources, like the spooky bathrooms in the Elementary School and the calming music in the Police Station's saferoom. The game's latest licensed Chapter, the ALIEN Chapter, continues this tradition.
In the newly released ALIEN Chapter of Dead by Daylight, players will explore the wreckage of the USCSS Nostromo, the retro-futuristic towing vessel that serves as the setting for the first ALIEN film. As they navigate the barren planet, players will discover numerous references to the original film, some of which are more hidden than others. This guide will help players locate the secret keycard to unlock a hidden door, as well as find Jones the cat within the Nostromo Wreckage in Dead by Daylight.
How to Find Jones the Cat
Jones the cat, a faithful yet ill-tempered pet, is a beloved member of the Nostromo crew. When the iconic Alien makes its appearance on the ship, Jones unintentionally gives the crew a few scares. Mistaking the grumpy cat for the creature, they are startled when he unexpectedly jumps out of a locker. Dead by Daylight pays homage to this memorable moment by including Jonesy in his very own locker on the Nostromo Wreckage.
To locate the elusive feline while playing as a Survivor, carefully enter three lockers inside the ship's remaining structure. It is important to slowly approach and enter them, as hastily vaulting into the lockers will disable his animation. Jones can potentially appear in two lockers near the main lounge area, as well as another one further down the corridor.
Please note that in custom games with less than four Survivors, Jones will not jump out of one of the slow entrances. Therefore, it is only possible to encounter him in public matches.
How to Open the Secret Door
Like Silent Hill's Midwich Elementary School, the Nostromo Wreckage also features a concealed door that players can unlock. However, unlike Midwich, discovering the secrets of the Nostromo involves a more intricate Easter egg hunt and is not revealed during the Endgame Collapse.
