The latest addition to Dead by Daylight's roster of Killers is The Singularity, an Artificial Intelligence that seeks revenge and possesses the ability to cause chaos throughout the map using its all-seeing cameras. While The Singularity has intricate movement capabilities and a moderate skill level, understanding its mechanics and how to utilize its power effectively can be challenging. This guide aims to assist players in learning how to play as The Singularity in Dead by Daylight by providing an overview of its power and tips on how to maximize its potential.

The Singularity: Power Explained

The Singularity lacks a special attack, making it solely reliant on its basic attack to kill Survivors. However, to compensate for this, The Singularity's power is centered around exerting pressure on Survivors through alternative means. One such method involves the use of Biopods, which can be launched at stationary surfaces at any height. These pods serve as remote observation tools and, when a Survivor is detected within range, can be used to tag them with a Temporal Slipstream.

Infected Survivors become susceptible to The Singularity’s Quantum Instantiation ability when exposed to the Temporal Slipstream. By utilizing a Biopod to target or shoot at these Survivors, the Singularity can instantly teleport to their location, putting the killer within close proximity and activating their Overclock Mode.

The Singularity gains the ability to break pallets and vault windows at a rapid pace for a brief period after teleporting with the Overclock Mode. Even if survivors attempt to stun him, the pallet will break immediately, only slightly slowing down his attack. EMPs can be found throughout the map and can be used by survivors to cure themselves and others of the Temporal Slipstream, as well as deactivate Biopods in the vicinity for a prolonged duration.

The Singularity: How to Play

To set up a strong defense at the beginning of the game, strategically place Biopods around generators that Survivors are working on to trap and monitor their movements. Opt for high vantage points that cover a large area and place multiple Biopods at loops to ensure the Killer can keep an eye on all angles. Additionally, consider placing Biopods at EMP boxes and generators to further track Survivor movements. After hooking a Survivor, place a Biopod nearby to tag any potential rescuers. Finally, during the endgame, guard gates with Biopods to prevent escapes. Utilize these Biopods to infect Survivors while they work on generators or during a chase, and prioritize infecting full health Survivors mid-chase by setting up cameras in loops ahead of them.

Shoot directly at a tagged Survivor or tag them with a camera a second time to trigger Overclock Mode and teleport behind them. This tactic is particularly useful when a Survivor is injured or utilizing an Exhaustion perk, allowing you to gain distance quickly. Additionally, Overclock Mode can be used to break loops effectively, forcing Survivors to either use pallets to escape or risk being quickly taken down.

Survivors frequently carry EMPs to neutralize the Biopods and cure themselves of the Temporal Slipstream. It's crucial to prioritize chasing infected Survivors and avoid pursuing those who start a chase with an EMP as deploying it during the chase can consume a significant amount of the Killer's time.
