As the North American Fan Fest approaches, Final Fantasy 14 has introduced a charming new mount and a selection of emotes on the game's Online Store in honor of the upcoming convention. The mount is currently available at a discounted price, alongside various other cosmetic items, however, players of Final Fantasy 14 will only have a limited time to avail themselves of this opportunity.
Final Fantasy 14's 2023 Fan Fest, taking place on July 28 and 29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will unveil exciting news about the upcoming expansion after Endwalker. Players can expect hints about new Jobs and content. Speculation is rife due to the lack of information released so far. In previous Fan Fests, Square Enix has provided attendees with physical and digital goodies at no extra cost. Participants this year may anticipate similar offerings.
The standout feature of this year's Fan Fest is the Garlond GL-IS mount. This sleek motorcycle can accommodate two players, with one as the driver and the other as a passenger in the sidecar. The sidecar houses a miniature Chocobo mascot named Alpha, who also appears in Stormblood's Omega raid series. Currently, the mount is available for purchase at a discounted price of $33.30, representing a 10% reduction. Additionally, players can acquire the "Advent of Light" emote and new Cheer emotes with green, purple, and white glow stick options. The sale also includes items from last year's Moonfire Faire summer event. As of now, the dates for this year's Moonfire Faire have not been confirmed.
The latest additions to the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store have arrived just one week after Patch 6.45 was released. Although this update didn't include any updates to the main story, it did bring an increase in Blue Mage's level cap to 80, as well as the next chapter of the Hildibrand quest series, the Mount Rokkon dungeon, and improvements to the Manderville weapons and Splendorous tools for players to enjoy during their free time.
While the Garlond GL-IS doesn't give any clues about what new Jobs will be featured in Final Fantasy 14, the excitement surrounding the upcoming expansion is starting to grow on social media. All in all, Final Fantasy 14 players will soon have plenty of topics to discuss.
Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
