The Pokemon Build-a-Bear collectible line is expanding by adding the starter Pokemon, Sprigatito from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Both children and adults are sure to be delighted by this charming recreation. Fans should act quickly to secure a plushie, as Pokemon Build-a-Bear releases tend to sell out fast.
Pokemon and Build-a-Bear have a rich history together, as many of the game's collectible creatures have been transformed into adorable plush toys. Build-a-Bear toys are highly sought after due to their customization options and meticulous attention to design details. Typically, Pokemon Build-a-Bear releases offer optional accessories for players to dress up their Pokemon, but it appears that one common feature is missing in this particular case.
The Pokemon Sprigatito Build-a-Bear is currently available for purchase on the Build-a-Bear website. This adorable plush toy faithfully recreates Sprigatito's charming features, such as its bright pink eyes and leaf tufts under its chin. As a grass-type Pokemon, it comes with a Sprigatito Sleeper and Sprigatito Cape that can be worn by the plush. The green and white sleeper features a crosshatch Pokeball design, while the Cape showcases Pokeballs and leaves in a different pattern. The complete bundle can be bought for $55 USD directly from the store, and each customer is limited to five purchases.
Interestingly, the Build-a-Bear sound chip, which is usually included in most Pokemon Build-a-Bear releases, seems to be absent in this particular edition. Initially, when the public was introduced to the product, it was stated that the Sprigatito plush would offer the sound chip option. However, the mention of the chip has since been removed, and a new version without any reference to it has been uploaded. An official statement from the Build-a-Bear Twitter indicates that the sound chip is currently unavailable, with no additional information provided.
Pokemon and Build-a-Bear have consistently released new plush toys since the collection launched. A recent addition to the lineup is the adorable Growlithe Build-a-Bear. With the release of Sprigatito, it's likely that Fuecoco and Quaxly, the Scarlet and Violet starters, will follow suit. Nonetheless, fans should not lose hope if they are waiting for other Pokemon from previous generations or the latest games, as Build-a-Bear has also recreated numerous non-starter Pokemon.
You can now play Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on Nintendo Switch.
