Unstoppable Duplication Glitches in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Despite Nintendo's efforts to fix the item duplication glitch in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have uncovered fresh methods to clone items The game's community remains active in seeking out these exploits to gain a competitive edge

Players of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have recently discovered new ways to clone items in the game, following the patching of a popular duplication exploit in the 1.1.2 update. Similar to Breath of the Wild, players found a quick and easy method of duplicating items by hopping on a shield and selecting up to five items for Link to hold, then exiting the inventory by pressing B and Y simultaneously, leaving a stack of cloned items on the ground.

Two new methods for item duplication in Tears of the Kingdom have been discovered since Nintendo patched out the shield glitch. While not as convenient, both methods have been shown to be reliable. The faster method, as demonstrated by YouTuber Gaming Reinvented, involves placing an item in a display at Link's house while getting zapped by a Shock Emitter, causing the held item to duplicate and drop. The other method, outlined by Nintendo Everything, involves saving the game, fusing an item to a weapon, starting the throwing animation, opening the map, replaying four memories in the Adventure log, and finally loading the last save file from the pause screen.

It remains to be seen how quickly Nintendo will address the newly uncovered exploits in Tears of the Kingdom, considering the ongoing challenges faced with the previous Zelda game. Despite fixing the game's initial item duplication glitch in a week, there are still working methods for duplication, and new ones are being discovered regularly. In fact, a player even found a way to duplicate Korok seeds in Breath of the Wild, rendering the game's biggest collectible hunt meaningless.
