A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has demonstrated their ingenuity by crafting a version of fireworks using explosive items found within the game. As players progress through the campaign and become more familiar with the construction mechanics, they are beginning to push the boundaries of what is possible. With Tears of the Kingdom's construction mechanics offering significantly more creative freedom than its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, players are able to experiment with attaching items to one another, resulting in imaginative creations that even Nintendo may not have anticipated. Moreover, the game's vast collection of items react in unexpected ways when combined, making the process of creation all the more fascinating.
A Reddit user named TBrofire created their own version of fireworks in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The process was simple, starting with a Zonai Rocket item that launches into the air when activated. They then added a Zonai Time Bomb on top of the Rocket, which explodes after a short period of time. For the special effect, TBrofire experimented with a variety of items with explosive visuals, such as a Bomb Flower, White Chuchu Jelly for an ice effect, and Red Chuchu Jelly for a fire effect. Additionally, they included a Dazzlefruit for a flash of powerful light and a Muddle Bud item that creates a disorienting odor, perfect for a firework.
The explosion of the firework is truly stunning. The initial burst is caused by the Time Bomb and Dazzle Fruit, creating a bright flash of light. Following this, the Red Chuchu Jelly and Bomb Flower release flames and smoke, shooting out in lines. The White Chuchu Jelly produces an impressive display of flashing white clouds that cover a wide area of the sky. Finally, the Muddle Bud leaves behind a sparkling cloud that lingers in the air. This creation serves as a starting point for even greater designs, as Tears of the Kingdom players can experiment with different effects and create full fireworks shows. It's a much more enjoyable pastime than creating Korok torture machines, that's for sure.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Switch.
