One of the most iconic weapons in World of Warcraft history is now obtainable in an upscaled version on the Public Test Realm. Arthas Menethil, Illidan Stormrage, and Garrosh Hellscream are universally recognized as some of the most significant villains in the game's history, and their powerful presence was only further emphasized by the legendary weapons they wielded. Although players had the opportunity to earn the Warglaives of Azzinoth in The Burning Crusade, the true versions of Frostmourne and Gorehowl were never made available.
Warlords of Draenor heavily featured the axe of Grommash Hellscream, Gorehowl, in its marketing campaign. Players were hopeful that it would become a rare legendary drop, but unfortunately, this idea never came to fruition. Similarly, in Legion, Frost Death Knights were able to reforge the shattered Frostmourne and wield the Blades of the Fallen Prince as their Artifact Weapons, but the real Frostmourne remained out of reach for players.
Players of World of Warcraft can finally acquire the iconic Gorehowl, once wielded by Garrosh Hellscream during his final moments, with the release of Patch 10.1.5. They need not settle for the corrupted version with Xal'atoh from Siege of Orgrimmar or the low-resolution skin dropped by Prince Malchezzar any longer. While the source of the drop remains elusive, Wowhead suggests that the weapon can be obtained through the new Dawn of the Infinites megadungeon.
The latest update for World of Warcraft, Patch 10.1.5, promises to bring an abundance of new content, including the highly anticipated Augmentation Evoker hero class specialization. This new specialization will offer a unique Support playstyle, and players are eagerly anticipating the potential for other classes, such as Mage or Rogue, to receive similar roles. Additionally, the update also introduces a new megadungeon where Alliance players will face off against Grommash Hellscream and Horde players will battle Anduin Lothar. Despite faction differences, players of any faction will still have the opportunity to claim the legendary axe Gorehowl, ensuring that orc warriors can proudly wield the weapon that helped establish Orgrimmar. With these exciting additions, it's clear that World of Warcraft is committed to keeping its loyal fanbase engaged and satisfied.
World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
