Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player teddy1234 successfully reproduced Super Mario 64's Dire Dire Docks theme by utilizing various Zonai stakes, a Zonai beam emitter, and a mine cart equipped with a Zonai fan. The beam emitter was connected to the mine cart to create contact with the Zonai stakes and produce different sounds as teddy1234 raced along the tracks. Adjusting the height and arrangement of the Zonai stakes was necessary to ensure accurate rendition of the Dire Dire Docks theme, as the stakes emitted slightly varied sounds at different elevations. After multiple attempts, teddy1234 managed to capture gameplay footage featuring the theme in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
teddy1234 highlighted that achieving the correct timing proved to be the most challenging aspect of recreating the Dire Dire Docks theme.
