During the opening segment of the Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet unveiled what players can look forward to in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, set to be released in the fall and winter. The segment showcased in-game footage from both The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, offering a glimpse of the Pokemon that players may encounter in their upcoming adventures. Furthermore, following the conclusion of the Nintendo Direct, a new 5-star Tera raid battle against Gimmighoul commenced. While players will have numerous opportunities to capture the Coin Chest Pokemon, there are other exciting elements that accompany this announcement.

Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can take advantage of the ongoing Mystery Gift event by entering the password "TREASUREHUNT" until July 31. By doing so, they will receive valuable rewards including a Friend Ball, 10 Nuggets, and 10 Rare Candies. It is important to note that these rewards can only be claimed once per game. This giveaway follows the previous distribution event where players had the opportunity to obtain a free Gastrodon. However, players must act quickly as they only have a little over a month to claim these items. While Nuggets and Rare Candies can be acquired through Tera raid battles, obtaining a Friend Ball requires a bit more effort. One of the main ways to obtain this special Poke Ball is through auctions in Porto Marinada, similar to other Poke Balls from the Pokemon Gold and Silver games.

In addition to the Mystery Gift event, players can also participate in Tera raid battles against Gimmighoul. These battles will continue until Sunday, July 2, and offer increased odds of encountering a Shiny Gimmighoul. While it may be challenging to distinguish between a normal and a Shiny Gimmighoul, capturing the Coin Chest Pokemon is a reliable method to verify its rarity. Initially, there were issues with the rewards received upon completing these 5-star Tera raid battles. However, a hotfix has been implemented to resolve the problem, ensuring a smooth experience for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players as they take on Gimmighoul in Tera raid dens.
