Unleashing Ultimate Destruction: How a Fan Obliterates Hinox Using a Cluster Drone in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom!

Unleash the ultimate power in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as a resourceful player ingeniously designs a lethal apparatus that obliterates a formidable Hinox enemy in a mere five seconds

Highlights

An inventive fan has created a cluster drone that can easily defeat a Hinox in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Hinoxes have been present in the Zelda series for numerous years and can be vanquished by targeting their primary vulnerability. The cluster drone employs a sophisticated combination of Zonai Time Bombs, Hover Stones, and Beam Emitters to execute a cluster explosion, swiftly overpowering the Hinox within a mere five seconds.

A creative fan recently showcased an impressive cluster drone that can easily eliminate a Hinox in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The demonstration of their powerful war machine went viral on social media, coinciding with another player deleting a Lynel with a pulse emitter.

Hinoxes have been a part of the Zelda series since The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the third installment in the franchise. Since their debut in 1991, these Cyclops-like enemies have appeared in numerous titles. While defeating Hinoxes in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom isn't overly difficult considering their size, it still requires some effort due to their substantial health pools, especially when they begin protecting their only weak spot - the yellow eye.

An alternative method for dealing with Hinox encounters involves launching a cluster drone from above, preferably by using a proxy. Reddit user Huydeptrai0794 recently showcased this approach by creating a complex cluster drone that breaks into smaller hovering turrets upon deployment. After the drone's rocket-powered ascent, it successfully eliminated the Hinox resting on the Carok Bridge to the northwest of Lookout Landing. This particular Hinox is often the first of its kind that players encounter in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Huydeptrai0794's ingenious cluster mechanism includes various Zonai Time Bombs that hold together two pairs of Hover Stones, all equipped with Beam Emitters and mounted on Construct Heads. Not only does this setup allow the platform to break into numerous lethal turrets, but the creator also demonstrated how strategic placement enables players to time the launch to catch surrounding enemies in the resulting cluster explosion. Ultimately, the Hinox had no chance and succumbed to the relentless attacks of the drone within approximately five seconds of awakening from its slumber.

While a single Zonai Beam Emitter may not inflict significant damage, fans have discovered the immense power that can be harnessed by combining these weapons. This strategy was successfully employed by a player in Tears of the Kingdom, resulting in the creation of a Lynel-farming machine in July.

Since the release of the new Zelda game in May, Hinoxes have been subjected to various lethal experiments by players. Prior to this recent cluster drone demonstration, one Tears of the Kingdom player managed to incapacitate a Hinox before it had a chance to stand up.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Switch.
