Unleashing the Wild: Fans Demand Epic DLC for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans propose a game-changing DLC to rebuild Hyrule and enhance the gameplay experience Get ready to explore new challenges and features in this exciting expansion

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have expressed interest in a potential DLC that would allow Link to play a larger role in the rebuilding of Hyrule. Following the events of Link and Zelda's expedition underneath Hyrule Castle, many villages have been left in ruins. As Link awakens on the sky islands and gains new abilities with the guidance of Rauru, he descends into Hyrule only to find that the spread of the mysterious Gloom and falling rubble from the sky islands have caused significant destruction and forced people to flee to more secure locations. The ruins have since been inhabited by Bokoblin and Moblin enemies, making it difficult for players to explore and gather loot. Despite efforts to clear out the villages, they remain uninhabitable and in need of restoration.

Players of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have proposed an interesting new DLC idea that involves Link helping to rebuild the ruined villages of Hyrule. The DLC would offer players the opportunity to gather resources, accept new quests, and persuade people to relocate to the newly rebuilt villages. While some players have drawn comparisons to Fallout 4's settlement system, others believe that the abundance of resources in Hyrule would make this DLC idea feasible. This concept appears to be inspired by Zelda's quote from the end of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in which she suggests that Link could potentially restore Hyrule to a state even greater than its former glory. Since Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom takes place immediately after the events of Breath of the Wild, Link and Zelda were unable to implement any concrete plans for the restoration of Hyrule.

With the implementation of Orikron's DLC proposal, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would offer players an even more immersive experience. The expansion would enable players to repurpose ruins that would typically remain dormant after defeating enemies in the vicinity, adding a new dimension to the already expansive game world. The accompanying update would also introduce several quality-of-life improvements, further enhancing the player experience. Although Nintendo has not announced any plans for DLC, they remain committed to providing regular updates to fix bugs and improve gameplay.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
