This outcome is not surprising considering that many of these characters are experiencing their first live-action appearance and need to evolve continuously to keep their stories intriguing. With six forthcoming episodes, further modifications are likely to occur. However, at present, here are ten notable disparities in the presentation of Rebels characters in Ahsoka.

Hera Syndulla's live-action debut faced significant criticism for the design of her lekku. In Rebels, her lekku had distinct rounded markings throughout, but in Ahsoka, they are barely noticeable. The intricate designs on Hera's lekku not only added visual beauty but also contributed to her Twi'lek uniqueness. Although the detailing on Hera's lekku may reflect her aging, it nonetheless signifies a change in her character's appearance since her last appearance in Rebels. This subtle alteration, hopefully, has been carefully considered by Ahsoka's creator, Dave Filoni.

Ahsoka's Chopper Is Easier To Understand

Chopper, the iconic droid in Star Wars Rebels, has always been voiced by Lucasfilm's Dave Filoni. However, in the animated series, his voice was deliberately distorted, making it challenging for viewers to understand him. Consequently, other characters often had to provide context or explanations for Chopper's words. A notable change can be observed in the show Ahsoka, where Chopper engages in a playful conversation with Hera in the second episode. Although Dave Filoni's voice for Chopper remains distorted, it is now more comprehensible, allowing viewers to pick up on his words more easily. Despite the improved clarity in communication, Chopper's character remains consistent. In fact, the fearless droid shows no hesitation when it comes to the daring act of shooting down an explosive hyperdrive core onto a densely populated area.

Sabine Has A Deeper Connection With The Force Than In Rebels

Every being possesses varying levels of sensitivity to the Force. In Star Wars Rebels season 3, Jedi Master Kanan Jarrus tried to teach Sabine Wren how to wield the Darksaber, but he observed her resistance to it. Surprisingly, in Ahsoka, Sabine's bond with the Force appears significantly stronger. Despite Huyang's assertion that she lacks aptitude for the Force, Sabine experiences vivid and prophetic dreams. While she may not possess the adeptness of other Jedi in manipulating the Force, Sabine undeniably possesses a profound connection surpassing that of most non-Force-sensitive individuals.

The Main Rebels Are No Longer Referred To By Their Spectre Numbers

Ahsoka Is The One Leading The Quest For Ezra, Not Sabine

The main characters in Rebels were all assigned code names throughout the series. Hera Syndulla was known as Spectre-2, while Sabine Wren went by Spectre-5. However, in the Ahsoka episode, only half of the Ghost crew made an appearance, and they did not use these code names. Surprisingly, it was revealed that the Spectre codename has been adopted by the defenders of Lothal, with a New Republic agent now known as Spectre-21. While it is heartwarming to witness the Ghost crew being honored in this manner, it does feel strange to hear everyone addressing each other by their real names instead of their Spectre numbers.

The finale of Star Wars Rebels showcased an epilogue scene where Sabine and Ahsoka made a decision to search for Ezra. Initially, it appeared to occur shortly after the Empire's downfall, but it has now been shifted to a time at least 9ABY - with Ahsoka episodes 1 and 2 even reenacting portions of this event. Interestingly, in the original rendition, Sabine seemed to be the main driving force behind the mission. However, this dynamic has changed, with Ahsoka taking charge and leading the expedition to locate Thrawn, with the addition of finding Ezra as a welcomed bonus.

Sabine Isn't As Proficient With A Lightsaber As In Rebels

Sabine's initial struggle with the Darksaber eventually transformed her into a skilled wielder. However, it is unfortunate that she has not maintained her training, as evidenced by her defeat in the first episode of Ahsoka. Her proficiency with a lightsaber has diminished compared to her past abilities. Nevertheless, a rematch with Shin is unavoidable. Encouragingly, Sabine has now returned to wearing Mandalorian armor, which provides added protection. Consequently, Shin will find it more difficult to penetrate her body with his blade due to the inclusion of beskar in her armor.

Hera, Sabine, and Chopper No Longer Live on the Ghost

In Star Wars Rebels, the entire Spectres group resided on a ship known as the Ghost. Although the Ghost has yet to make an appearance in Ahsoka, it appears probable that Hera, being a mother now, has relocated elsewhere. As for Sabine, she currently resides in the former communication tower on Lothal, which used to serve as Ezra's home. It would be delightful to witness characters such as Sabine reminiscing about their experiences aboard the Ghost, reminiscent of her sentiment for the bunk on Ahsoka's vessel.

Sabine Has Committed To Looking After A Pet Loth-Cat

Sabine has chosen to adopt a Loth-cat as her pet, despite their reputation for being wild and unmanageable creatures. This decision most likely stems from the fact that these animals were the first ones Ezra was able to form a connection with through his Force abilities, and they serve as a reminder of him. It remains unknown what Sabine has done with her Loth-cat since parting ways with Ahsoka, but hopefully, she has found a safe place to keep it. It would be a shame if we don't get to see more of Sabine's beloved pet.

Ahsoka Isn’t Ahsoka The White Anymore

The Rebels epilogue subtly hinted at Ahsoka's intriguing evolution, depicting her in elegant white robes and wielding a staff instead of a lightsaber. This visual portrayal, inspired by the iconic character Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings, implies that Ahsoka has undergone significant growth and maturity. While episodes 1 and 2 of Ahsoka's journey recreated these transformative scenes, she was seen once again clad in her familiar gray cloak. This suggests that Ahsoka stands at the cusp of a profound transformation, akin to the legendary figure known as Ahsoka the White.

Jai Kell Is Now A Senator For the New Republic

Jai Kell, a minor character in Rebels, first encountered Ezra Bridger during his time at the Imperial Cadet Academy. Ezra rescued Jai from the clutches of the Grand Inquisitor, causing him to become a freedom fighter on Lothal and play a vital part in liberating the planet from Imperial control. Jai is connected to Ryder Azadi and seems to have chosen a path in politics, as Ahsoka disclosed that he is currently serving as a senator for the New Republic.
