In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have the opportunity to engage in numerous side adventures by conversing with the residents of Hyrule. Throughout the game, players will come across a diverse cast of characters who will offer various side quests at stables, settlements, and even the untamed wilderness of Hyrule. These quests provide players with the chance to assist those in need and provide a refreshing divergence from the main story.
To initiate the quest "Feathered Fugitives," players should head to the Riverside Stable located at coordinates (0329, -1085, 0009) on the western coast of the Hylia River. The most efficient way to reach this stable is by utilizing the fast travel option to the Tajikats Shrine situated at coordinates (0342, -1006, 0016). Upon arrival at the stable, players will discover the usual facilities and a spacious area containing various enclosed animals, such as goats and cuccos. Once at the stable, players must follow these steps to commence and successfully complete the quest "Feathered Fugitives" in Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Start The Feathered Fugitives Quest
To begin the quest called "Feathered Fugitives," players must first successfully complete the side adventure named "Gourmets Gone Missing." They can start this quest by initiating a conversation with Penn, who can be located near a tree to the northeast of the stable. Penn can be found at coordinates (0390, -1045, 0015). This particular side adventure is part of the extensive series of quests called "Princess Zelda Sightings!" By completing these quests, players will be rewarded with various pieces of the Froggy Armor Set.
Locations Of Cuccos For The Feathered Fugitives Quest
Once players have completed the prerequisite quest, they can return to the Riverside Stable and find Teli, the quest giver, at coordinates (0368, -1106, 0009). Teli, filled with distress and worry, explains that his intention was simply to collect some eggs. Unfortunately, driven by hunger, he unintentionally allowed all but one of the cuccos to escape from their enclosure. Teli then requests Link's assistance in locating and bringing back the escaped cuccos to their pen, assuring that they shouldn't have wandered too far.
In order to complete the "Feathered Fugitives" quest, Link must locate and return the missing cuccos to the pen where they originally met Teli. Link should approach each cucco, which will thankfully not flee, and interact with it to pick it up. Afterwards, he just needs to swiftly return it to the pen and release it inside the enclosure. The five missing cuccos can be found at the following locations:
Cucco #1 Location
You can locate a cucco by following this link. The cucco is situated on the left side of the stable, near the water surrounding the pens, where the dog usually spends time. The coordinates for this cucco are (0351, -1072, 0009).
Cucco #2 Location
Link can find another cucco inside the stable, near the back wall where Beedle occasionally sets up shop. This cucco is located at coordinates (0341, -1101, 0010).
Cucco #3 Location
To find a third cucco on top of the horse's head at the highest point of the stable, Link must Ascend from inside the stable. This will allow him to reach the top of the horse statue. The coordinates for this cucco are (0333, -1089, 0036).
Cucco #4 Location
The fourth cucco is located on the right side of the stable, up in a tree behind stacked planks of wood. The coordinates for this location are (0319, -1126, 0017).
Cucco #5 Location
Capturing the final cucco can be quite challenging since it is perched on a small rock island in the nearby river. Unfortunately, Link cannot carry the cucco across the deeper water, so he will need to find a way to create a path back to the pen with the cucco. One option is to utilize a plank from the stack of planks located near the previous area to build a bridge over the water. Alternatively, Link can freeze the water by using an Ice Fruit, allowing him to ride the resulting ice block to reach the shore. You can locate the rock island at coordinates (0382, -1147, 0010).
After Link finds all five cuccos and brings them back to the pen, he can then talk to Teli once more. As a reward, Teli will give him 100 Rupees. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be played on the Nintendo Switch.
