The Tears of the Kingdom's many shrines in The Legend of Zelda challenge Link's new runes and abilities, including Ascend, Fuse, Ultrahand, and Recall. While most complex shrines utilize a combination of these abilities, the Gatanisis Shrine in the Akkala Region specifically focuses on testing the player's proficiency with Recall. This guide provides a walkthrough of how to navigate the Gatanisis Shrine, but be aware that some luck may be necessary to succeed.
Gatanisis Shrine Location in TotK
The Gatanisis Shrine is situated at coordinates 4498, 0825, 0095 in the Akkala Region, towards the eastern edge of the map. It lies to the west of Knuckel Island and to the east of Ulria Grotto. The simplest way to reach the shrine is to ascend Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and glide eastward until you arrive at the vicinity of Knuckel Island. From there, you should be able to spot Gatanisis Shrine easily.
Gatanisis Shrine Puzzle Solution
Gatanisis Shrine can be a challenging puzzle to solve, requiring a bit of luck and patience to complete. The objective is to hit a target with a ball in order to open the door. At first, the ball doesn't bounce high enough, but there is a small square platform attached to the long platform that players can use to their advantage. By standing on the square platform and using Recall on the long platform, players can bounce the ball high enough to reach the target. Timing is key, so try hitting the platform with Recall just before the ball reaches the target. With some practice, players will be able to figure out the ball's path and hit the target successfully. Before moving on, players should also grab the treasure chest above the target.
Gatanisis Shrine Treasure Chest Location
Using Recall on the bouncing platform at the center will propel Link towards the Treasure Chest located on the opposite end of the square. Don't forget to stand in the middle before activating the platform. Remember to aim towards the Treasure Chest to successfully reach it.
Be cautious of the bouncing ball in this area as the link is not secure. Use your launch ability to soar up and safely glide down to collect the five Bomb Flowers waiting for you in the Chest. The game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, can be enjoyed on the Nintendo Switch.
