The protective devices around Link prevent any harm, allowing him to stay put while the Cuccos continue to lay eggs. Some Redditors have pointed out that this device is similar to a classic Minecraft egg farming design, with the only difference being that eggs cannot be stored in a chest using a hopper and must be physically collected by Link.
