Barriss Offee, a fallen Jedi and close friend of Ahsoka Tano, is portrayed in an impressive cosplay by Berni Cos. This chilling depiction showcases Barriss wielding Force lightning, symbolizing her descent into the dark side. Barriss came to the realization that the Jedi had lost their way, yet tragically succumbed to the same darkness she feared, orchestrating a devastating attack on the Coruscant Jedi Temple. This cosplay captures the culmination of Barriss' path.
The cosplay is stunning, with visual effects added to it that show Barris wielding Sith-style Force lightning.
What Happened To Barriss Offee After The Clone Wars?
The fate of Barriss Offee following the Clone Wars remains shrouded in mystery. Despite being apprehended for the Jedi Temple bombing, Barriss evaded execution, a deliberate move according to Dave Filoni from Lucasfilm. Although Filoni's exact plan remains undisclosed, there is fervent speculation that the enigmatic Inquisitor featured in Ahsoka's trailers could potentially be Barriss. These Inquisitors, once Jedi themselves, were warped and manipulated by Palpatine to become the ultimate hunters of their former comrades.
Although the Inquisitors possess considerable power, it appears that very few, if any, have achieved mastery over potent abilities like Force lightning. The reason for this is that both Palpatine and Darth Vader deliberately chose not to impart these specific skills. The dark side fosters a sense of competition, and if an Inquisitor were to acquire too much knowledge, they would inevitably harbor ambitions to overthrow their masters. Therefore, even if Barriss Offee were to reemerge as one of Palpatine's pawns, it is highly unlikely that she would possess the ability to wield Force lightning, according to Star Wars canon.
