Highlights

Dead by Daylight's highly anticipated Killer, the Xenomorph from Alien, will have its own unique powers.

The Xenomorph can easily maneuver through a network of tunnels on every map, enabling it to swiftly navigate, locate nearby Survivors, and activate its Killer Instinct against them.

The perks possessed by the Xenomorph, including Rapid Brutality and Ultimate Weapon, perfectly align with the mythology of the Alien creature, enhancing the enjoyment and realism of the gameplay.

Behaviour Interactive has shared online the highly anticipated powers for Dead by Daylight's Killer, the Xenomorph from Alien. Since the game's launch in 2016, fans have been eagerly requesting the inclusion of this iconic character, making it one of the most requested horror movie crossovers. Finally, their wish is coming true with the Alien crossover beginning on August 29. All that is left now is for Behaviour Interactive to deliver an immersive and captivating Xenomorph gameplay experience.

The xenomorphs from the Alien series, known for their appearance in horror and action movies, are among the most recognizable monsters in film history. The original Alien film, which premiered in 1979, is often acclaimed as one of the greatest horror movies ever made. Set in the vastness of space, a crew of spaceship truckers unknowingly brings a xenomorph onboard their ship. The alien cunningly eliminates each member of the crew, leaving protagonist Ellen Ripley as the sole survivor. While subsequent Alien films introduced larger numbers of xenomorphs as threats, the original movie was able to capture a unique sense of terror that has yet to be replicated.

Dead by Daylight is currently in the process of creating its own horrifying xenomorph horror experience. The xenomorph's killer capabilities are both appropriate and terrifying. Each map will be equipped with a unique system of tunnels and seven control stations that activate when the xenomorph is in use. By utilizing the control stations, the xenomorph can access the tunnels, detect nearby survivors, and activate its killer instinct when it emerges from a control station. Survivors should anticipate unexpected encounters with the xenomorph, but can monitor the control stations to anticipate its whereabouts.

When traversing the tunnels, the xenomorph's special ability, known as "Runner Mode," is augmented, enhancing its stealth and granting it a formidable tail attack. The xenomorph killer, along with a full Alien crossover event, will be introduced on August 29th. However, the killer is currently undergoing testing on Dead by Daylight's servers, revealing the xenomorph's powers and perks.

The perks for the Xenomorph in Dead by Daylight align with the lore of the Alien monster. Rapid Brutality removes Bloodlust, but grants a 5% increase in haste after a basic attack. Alien Instinct is triggered when a Survivor is hooked and reveals the aura of the farthest injured survivor, who is also rendered unaware for an extended duration. Lastly, Ultimate Weapon activates when a locker is opened, causing Survivors to scream, be temporarily blinded, and reveal their location when they enter the Xenomorph's Terror Radius. The goal of Behaviour, the game developers, seems to be recreating the intense experience of the Alien films, where the Xenomorph stalks its prey through the spaceship's ducts. Although Dead by Daylight has limitations due to its rule-bound nature, these abilities aim to make the Xenomorph character exciting, terrifying, and true to its origins. Players will have the opportunity to try out the new Killer on August 29.

Content

The progress and saved data information from the Live game has been successfully transferred to our PTB servers on July 31st, 2023. It is important to note that during the PTB, players will be able to make progress, but none of that progress will be carried over to the Live version of the game.

New Killer - The Xenomorph

Killer Power

Hidden Pursuit

When the Xenomorph is in play, a set of tunnels is unlocked on the map. By utilizing a Control Station, the Xenomorph can enter these tunnels for efficient map navigation, detect the presence of nearby Survivors, and decrease the cooldown time of its Runner Mode ability. Exiting a Control Station marks neighboring Survivors with Killer Instinct.

Special Ability: Runner Mode

The Xenomorph seamlessly transitions into Runner Mode when not on cooldown. In this state, it gracefully prowls on all fours, enhancing its stealth capabilities and minimizing its Terror Radius. Additionally, while in Runner Mode, the Xenomorph gains the ability to unleash a devastating Tail Attack.

Map Feature: Control Stations

Across the map, players can find a total of seven Control Stations. These stations serve as hubs where survivors can engage with them to acquire a Remote Flame Turret. Additionally, the Xenomorphs have the ability to navigate through the underground tunnels connecting these Control Stations.

Special Item: Remote Flame Turret

The map allows you to strategically place turrets to fend off the Xenomorph. Once the Xenomorph enters a turret's range and is within its line of sight, the turret will launch an attack. This attack momentarily disrupts the Xenomorph, bringing an end to its Runner Mode. If a turret continuously fires or successfully pushes the Xenomorph out of Runner Mode, it will overheat and require repair from a Survivor. Additionally, the Xenomorph has the capability to target and destroy turrets.

Perks

Ultimate Weapon

When a locker is opened, this perk is triggered for a duration of 30 seconds. Survivors who enter your Terror Radius will emit a loud scream, revealing their location and experiencing temporary Blindness for the same duration. Afterward, this perk enters a cooldown period of either 40, 35, or 30 seconds, depending on its level.

You can no longer gain Bloodlust. Hitting a Survivor with a basic attack gives you 5% haste for 8/9/10 seconds.

Alien Instinct

This perk activates when you hook a Survivor. You see the aura of the farthest injured Survivor for 5 seconds and that Survivor is oblivious for 16/18/20 seconds.

New Survivor - Ellen Ripley

Perks

Lucky Star

This perk is activated when you take cover in a locker. During a span of 10 seconds, you will not leave any evidence behind such as blood pools or painful sounds. As you emerge from the locker, you will be able to spot other survivors and the nearest generator's aura in a yellow hue for 10 seconds. Following this, the perk enters a cooldown phase lasting 40/35/30 seconds.

Chemical Trap

This perk activates after achieving 70%/60%/50% progress on any generator. By standing beside a dropped pallet, press the Active Ability Button 2 to install a Trap that remains active for 100/110/120 seconds. The trapped pallets' auras are revealed in yellow to all Survivors. When the Killer breaks the trapped pallet, the trap explodes, causing them to be slowed by 50% for 4 seconds.

Improved Light Footed

When you are healthy, this perk activates. Your running footsteps are silent. This perk goes on cool-down for 28/24/20 seconds after doing a rushed action.

New Map - Nostromo Wreckage

Killer Tweaks
