One player has created a machine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom specifically designed to torture the Koroks found in Hyrule.
The machine utilizes Link's powers to transport the Koroks and subject them to roasting within the fire generated by Zonai flame emitters.
This is not the only occasion where players have come up with ways to distress the Koroks, as other enthusiasts have invented bungee jumps and various contraptions specifically designed for these diminutive non-playable characters.
One player of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom devised a custom machine solely meant for tormenting and abusing the Koroks discovered in the land of Hyrule. While the latest installment, Tears of the Kingdom, introduced fresh characters to the Zelda franchise, it also includes several recognizable faces, such as the plant-like Koroks.
The Koroks have been an integral part of the Zelda series for quite some time, appearing in games like the Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild. However, Tears of the Kingdom adds a unique twist to these characters. Not only can they be discovered dispersed throughout Hyrule, but some also require Link's assistance in reuniting with their companions. These tasks provide players with the opportunity to devise methods of transporting the Koroks across different terrains within the game world. Unfortunately, some individuals have exploited this ability to advance their malevolent purposes.
In Tears of the Kingdom, a player known as zelda_watchan on Twitter has created a creative and comical method of tormenting Koroks. They shared a video showcasing their frightening machine specifically designed to torture these small non-playable characters. The footage depicted a scene where Link stood beside a Zonai steering stick, observing a large basket-like contraption containing petrified Koroks. After a brief moment, Link threw an egg at the contraption, causing it to activate. This creation by zelda_watchan began oscillating, subjecting the unfortunate Koroks to the flames emitted by Zonai flame emitters.
Aside from the entertaining yet terrifying device created to imprison the Koroks, zelda_watchan's video was notable for the sheer number of these tiny characters captured. From the video, it appeared that they had amassed nearly 20 Koroks on the flat surface of their machine.
This latest creation by zelda_watchan showcases the exceptional potential of Link’s newfound abilities in Tears of the Kingdom. In addition to his Fuse and Ascend powers, players can acquire the Ultrahand early on in their journey. This innovative tool enables players to unleash their creativity, going beyond the basics to design intricate and distinctive creations, much like zelda_watchan's lethal contraption.
It is worth mentioning that the Zelda community has a long history of subjecting Koroks to torment. Fans have devised their own diabolical methods of torturing these diminutive NPCs. For instance, another imaginative player crafted a bungee jump for Koroks in Tears of the Kingdom, sending them hurtling off the edge of a cliff in terror. With the continual emergence of intriguing contraptions in the game, it appears only a matter of time before the next Korok torture device is ingeniously constructed.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
